I took the 5AR4 valve out of the Bugera and swapped out for a pair of RCA 5U4GB 'Black Plates'... then two vintage Celestion greenbacks for the supplied Bugeras (though they are pretty good). Now take a lead and route it from Ch2 fx out to 'Lo' input on the front... pure tone! Best £275 I've ever spent on an amp and I've had some beauties from Marshall Plexis to JMI AC30s. You can take it down to 15w and crank the bastard too. Nice demo btw!
@TheSpecialGuestStars Thanks! I had considered at one time taking the Greenbacks out of the VOX and placing them in the Bugera, but I'm sort of happy with the mismatched Bugera speakers. I'll have look into your 5AR4 valve swap... sounds interesting.
Next time I would demo without the stereo micing. I'm hearing a lot of phase issues from the two mic setup. Just a single sm57 would give us a better idea of how each amp compares. Otherwise awesome demo!!
@mattave Hi. Actually there are no phase issues as I'm using the same brand of mic and they are the same distance from the sound source and each mic is recorded to its own track and finally my recording equipment allows me to fix any phase problems by reversing the phase on one of the mics. The sound you hear is the nice full sound you get with two pics working together.
Great demo!!! I liked the bc30 the best. It had a nice fat smooth tone. The orange and blackstar were my next choice. These three all sound better than the vox. I thought the vox was too fuzzy. Again awesome job.
The Vox and Orange rules this in my opinion. Dude, you gotta make even more videos! Love them!

Vox, Blackstar, Bugera, Orange, in that order

I don’t like neither to be honest, but Bugera sounded the best out of these (vox is a close second, but it sounds too thin and fuzzy here).
Blackstar and Orange sound like total crap

Blackstar or Bugera the other two are not worth mentioning

Bugera sounds best. It's got a really warm, round tone.

@sarinapaparone Thanks! I'm thinking of having a similar demo using the clean channel on the amp,

Vox - everything else sounded a little sterile and not organic.
