  • @BYORK7 ive been papping near st hellens also where did you find gold?

  • hey great video.I live about 10 minutes away from liberty but I was wondering do you need a permit or lisense to just run a sluice box and how do you find a spot to mine at without asking for permision from land owners?

  • @wm459 Thanks. No permits in Washington, But you need to check out the Gold and fish booklet that is given out by fish and wild life. The creek or streams are closed parts of the year. That means under the water you can't be digging, but the the rocky dry side areas and side benchs you can, these parts are open for hand held tools. Like a pan or sluice, and you must classify your material first before running it through a sluice. Holes must be filled in after. Thanks, Best of luck.

  • @wm459 you also have to make sure that you are not "Claim Jumping". The best way I have found to prospect legally in the Blewett Pass area is to join a local prospecting club that has claims in your area. There are very few areas up in that area that are not claimed. I am a member of the North Central Washington Prospectors based out or Wenatchee and we have claims on the Chelan county side of the pass. Let me know if you would like more info.

  • @BYORK7 What area by helens? ive been doing alot of research of the area and theres mines active, abandoned and inactive all through out south lewis and north skamania in the area.

just a beginner looking for some tips, thanks!

  • cool videos ..Im just getting into panning and find your videos very useful. I live in moses lake wa. So if you have any spots that may help a newby keep the fever any info would help haha thanks again

  • July 16 to september 30 Swauk creek is open for dredging with 4" or smaller.

  • Excavation and collection of aggregate is permitted on stable slopes and in the frequent scour zone, year round. You may use only hand-held mineral prospecting tools and following mineral prospecting equiment when mineral prospecting without timing restrictons, pans, sluices, concentrators, mini rocker boxs and so on. This is taken from the WDFW Gold and Fish Pamphlet. Thanks for the heads up! I'm always reading this pamphlet just to keep it right. Keep the fever!

  • Hey don't want to steer you wrong, but I believe swauk creek is closed till august. Have you read the Gold and Fish pamphlet from wdfw? Happy panning.

  • I need to get better at talking to the camra. Soon I'll have a 4" dredge, a video of that at work and what I find will come soon after. Good hunting everyone

  • @6061lucky Thanks for the great offer, I already bought 4" D and K triple sluice. I'm hoppen to put a video up dredging when the next season opens. I have one spot that I know will have onces, I just have to wait. And I hate waiting, the fever is killing me!....lol
