ok thank cause after running it i had to tighten the bushings and the first time i ran it the ESC went bad but my uncle got me a new one

i got one of these for Christmas and its a lot of fun. any tips for maintenance?

@Thesnowleopard123 I'd say replace the bushings in the wheels and hubs with bearings, keep an eye on gear mesh and use a quality bushing lube on the motor's bushings and have some fun!

@IamDtvStudios Normally you should see between 8-12 minutes of runtime, depending on throttle usage and such.

The only thing i dont like about the mini desert truck is that when it crashes the pieces to repair it cost alot of money. But i do recomend this rc i have one.

@KTMBOY1112 About 60-90 minutes, depending on the condition of the battery and how discharged it is. You can upgrade to a charger that will charge in less time though.

I am very happy to be owner of a Mini LST2 and a Mini Desert Truck. Now I want something new, more powerful and brushless. I do not want to buy the E-Revo 1/16 I want a Losi.

What do we expect? By the end of the year I expect big surprises, I have the money ready. Better if not a RTR. I want a small 1/18 or 1/16.

As far as personal experience I don't know as I haven't done it myself. I'd say the LOSB9563 9400 KV system would get you close.

This is going to sound like a non-answer but it all depends on the size of your house. The average house, probably not, but the average basement you should be able to.

I just bought this today for an "office" truck to run during breaks (we have a ton of room to run on carpet).

My question is, & this is probably a dumb one, can I run Lipo with this motor & esc setup?

This is my first Losi. I've only owned Traxxas vehicles thus far in my 10 years in R/C.

You can run LiPo with that ESC, however you should be aware that it does not have a cutoff in it. I would suggest installing an external one such as the Novak one (NOV5470)

The pack will self-discharge over time. It should take longer than a week though.

ok i have a question for you guys. I'm thinking of getting a mini t or mini dt, could i get rid of the losi receiver and put in a JR radio receiver instead or would it not work. And also does the Mini T and Mini DT come with a Battery or is it seperate?

You can use a different receiver but you'll need a different ESC and Servo too.

i have desert truck and my truck is going crazy like my steering would turn by its self side to side what can i do to fix it.

Check a couple things here:

Radio should be the first thing turned on, last off

Use fresh transmitter batteries

Extend the transmitter antenna fully

Make sure the receiver antenna exists the body in an antenna tube

Inspect the capacitors on the motor to make sure they're still installed securely

Inspect your wiring for any damage or worn insulation

Make sure no-one else is on your frequency

i can get a raminator from my LHS for £10 ($15) extra is it worth it or should i get this one i prefer the look of this one tbh.

It's really personal preference. I will tell you the Raminator will be able to go up and over more things than the Mini-Desert Truck due to the ground clearance and torque. The Mini-Desert Truck will handle better due to its lower center of gravity and be a little quicker out of the box too.

hey guys, I just bought this truck and i bought a lipo. After 5 minutes, the weak stock motor burned out with the powerful lipo. Any sujjestions with a new motor to buy?

losi bashers are terrible and very cheap, but there racers are awesome. i have a mini t and a losi raminator and im never gettin a losi basher again.all losi does is make a truck and put different tires and bodys on it and make like 3 other trucks out of it.

Ive had 2 mini-t pros brushless and the only thing that really bugged me was the short chassis, so this truck is gonna have balls. Now wheres the rc18t killer? I had one of those and its about time losi makes an rc18 fighter, no bad to ae they rock too.

Just put a small peice wire like thin speak wire to your antenna on the car,but make sure it's thin like what you allready have on the car antenna,this should work as it does with r/c planes and let me know how you get on ok m8.
