i have a 2002 wrx too, this sounds like a cold start. but from what i have learned from my other wrx buddies its either 1 of 4 things...
1. normal (cold start)
2. timing belts
3. piston slap
4. an exhaust leak
it also could be one of your mods
what do you have?

i agree with the other posts, if its in rhythm with the exhaust its usually apart of the exhaust, most likely just a leak. if it turned out to be something different please say so, always room to learn something new

if you think it sounds "in rhythm" with the exhaust note, then check around for an exhaust leak.
It's kind of hard to tell from your video what sound you're referring to.

mine was a simple exhaust leak where the downpipe joins the midpipe. i just had to replace the gasket.
It's a ricer... they all sound like that...
