awesome vid, i really like your tunes, it almost reminds me of a not so hectic venitian snares. do u have any stuff released? kinda a random question but have u tired ableton live and if so is there anything in renoise that u can do that live doesnt offer? im intruiged by the software but i just found it incrediby hard to use. thanks
Hey thanks. I've been releasing under different names since 1999. Fasp, Finch, etc.. I won't bore you with those details though. My Hitori Tori project just got signed to BALANCED RECORDS and a series of 8 singles are going be released starting in March 2010.
While Ableton is extremely versatile and has many of the same features as Renoise, I personally have just grown accustomed to working in the alpha numeric environment of the tracker. No difference, just preference I think.
It's the Ohm64. Yes, it can be configured to work with the 2.5 step sequencer, but for this jam I used a max patch made for the monome called mlr. Kinda scrolls through loops similar to the 09xy pattern command does in Renoise.
What you using for tape stops? Is it a VST or is it a Renoise thing?

@NEROGODDAMNIT Yeah, it's a VST. It's actually part of Artillery 2. It's a sub-effect called "turntable".
