  • by far the best AC intro ive seen.

  • whie AC3 had my favorite song this will remain my favorite intro. nothing gets across better the grit and the hopeless, endless war that dominates the AC world.

  • for a ps2 title the cgi in the into was insaine

  • I've never understand jack due to my 4th grade mind. But I want to know more about the AC story .-.

  • AW POOR BUG! *sniff*

  • BJ in this video was badass..

but in VR Arena..he is noob

  • Comment removed

  • I want a fucking movie. DO IT FAGGOTS.

  • WHY THE BAD ALWAYS WINS???

  • i like how the next suggested video is the music video for "sometimes when we touch" lmao

i want this game now! i can't believe i did not know this existed!

  • Best intro ever

  • the only life left on this planet are soldiers and a cicada...and the soldiers are killing each other... lets hope the cicada makes it through this one

  • BJ Was ****ing Eazy In the ARENA

  • o_O the bug win

  • My bad I made a mistake, the bipedal AC was using a energy rifle

  • @onigojira

I do agree with the laser blade thing but I believe a machine gun and laser blade or 2 guns of any kind. And just for reference, both AC's used linear cannons, not rail guns, and they are not as accurate as shown in the video

  • @GigglesMcFinnagan

Linear guns leave a series of shock waves behind them. Rail Guns have a slight charge up time, and that distinctive shape. Those are not Linear guns they are firing.

  • Wish I knew what studio is responsible for making this intro.

  • At the end the 4-leg AC is like "fuck you got me..but im taking you with me!" XD pure win!

  • @GoblinBomber actually its more like "AH FUCK FUCK FUUUUU!!!!!..."

  • @GoblinBomber

On 2:15 BJ said "do you have any last word?"

  • I like this intro because this explaining well how despairing world they are in.

    このイントロは世界の絶望感をうまく表現してるので好きだな。

  • too bad they dont sell this one on my country but they sell the nine breaker i'm used to win ¬¬

  • The First game to see humans haahahah

  • weird intro, its like the end of the world

  • i used to haqve a dual laser blade setup because i loved cutting down enemies lol

  • beautiful they really need to make a movie out of this

  • AC3 and Last Raven got the best intros. I love the intense fight between the ACs. I mean, I didn't get into AC series because I just wanted to blow shit up with a mech. I was attracted to the series because I love mechs.

  • 1:53, oh now you're fucking dead

  • 0:57-1:05 my favorite part.

move move move holy crap here he comes TAKE YOUR POSITIONS

  • why are they called ravens anyways

  • @artixvondoomsday because that's what AC pilots are called on the old school ac games.

  • i dont even get the point of having foot soldiers around if the enemy is an armored core lol

  • @cdums19 Kill or be killed i suppose..

  • @cdums19

Because in the real world Armor gets destroyed by anti-armor Rocket Launchers. Shit, a TOW should be able to take out a mech.

  • Why did they not run for cover at 1:25. Come on now, if somebody is charging a huge deathray at you what are you going to do, just stand around :P

  • Armored Core ftw

  • soliders = owned

    beetle = win

  • has anyone else had the problem of laoding their game save and finding that when they play a mission it doesnt have any music or voice

because thats whats happening on mine and fo some reason wen i exit the mission it doesnt laod up the retry screen

ive cleaned the game so im not sure whats wrong

  • For once can we get a mecha game where the mecha don't look like they were designed by a Japanese wanker.

  • @DDXDelta

No sorry, Mech Warrior is held up on bullshit and lawsuits, Front Mission sucks, and Chrome Hounds died.

  • @incinerator950 And what does any of that BS have to do with my comment?

All I basically said is that the mecha in the game above are poorly designed pieces of shit; christ, these are supposed to be war machines, not robot samurai with fucking jet packs.

  • @DDXDelta Basically he's saying that the only non-japanese mecha genre is held up on lawsuit. The only thing that doesn't look like flying ninjas in space :P

  • @XkriskrossX Hey I like flying ninjas in space! 0_0 At least these ones i do. And dont remind us of the grim situation for mech warrior...it makes me verry unhappy and want to hurt lots of people. =(

  • @DDXDelta

That's the point, most mecha are based off the concept of the Human body being perfect. Most people know most Mechs can be taken out with a TOW or a few Hellfires. NEXTs are the pinnacle of pilot ingenuity and over-powered walking tanks, the only thing I recall being more mary-sue broken are Orbital Frames from ZOE, another Jap wanker's game, although the series was quite popular.

That said, You might like Titan Combat from Warhammer 40k.

  • @DDXDelta I dunno, looks to me like they would blow the doors off of most things YOU would call a mech. Just because it isnt stomping around town at a blistering pace of 20 mph and look like a bathtub with reverse joint legs doesnt mean its not a war machine. Its just a different form of the mecha genre.

  • @DDXDelta

You're an idiot. Have you ever played Armored Core? Do you even know the situation they're in? There's almost nothing in the way of military assets left outside of Armored Cores, and even then there's only like 20 of them left. Most of them are still mercenaries and they aren't getting supply vehicles to follow them up on a sortie. The Laser Blade is a back up weapon for when you're low on ammunition (or in this case if you're out gunned.. then it's a gamble.)

  • @onigojira So they blow most of their time and resources on giant, overly-complicated, resources hogging, mecha? Yeah, real smart.

  • @DDXDelta

Why would a Raven spend resources to buy an entirely new fighting machine? Outside of a few warlords most do not have an organization backing them. Those that do spend their resources outfitting their soldiers with their own vehicles, if I recall. There's also nothing available that is better than an Armored Core at that point in time. How does your argument invalidate a back up weapon which requires no ammo to employ in a pinch or at point blank range? Try again, buddy.

  • @DDXDelta LOL go play gundam, that game has awesome mechs and shitty gameplay

  • @TheHitmaker190 I don't play Gundam BECAUSE they are literally nothing but giant robot samurai with jetpacks, PLUS they have beam swords (aka, laser katanas). With AC the comparison is only slightly descriptive, with Gundam it's literal.

  • i love the continuous humming in the background, giving it a bleak atmosphere..

  • Looks like the ac is getting angry when guy shoot his arm

  • of all the AC intros i think this one would be closest to what a full AC movie would be like

  • helll yeah

  • The four-legged AC got the jump on the two-legged Ac, and that plasma cannon or whatever it has on its back does some damage. Just looked like they were showin that the two-legged AC's are more maneuverable than the four-legged AC's. I still liked the four-legged AC better though. It looked like as soon as he realized he didn't kill the two-legged AC, he kinda got a little desperate. Look like the two legged AC had a little more experience to go with it.

  • beetle lives the acs kill each other = beetle wins

  • why they always got to shit on 4 legged acs, theyre the best

  • @roush26 It's just because they look odd and kinda out of place. And then the four legged mech rape-stroys them.

  • AC FTW.

  • bug wins...... lol

  • Da-yummm. That light AC with the energy blade kicked the shit out of that heavy AC.

  • Cool, all the intros from AC3, ACSL, and ACN played in the beginning.

  • Moonlight was the most power full in the first game on the PSX.

  • whats with the beetle? :\

  • Maby cuz the Beatle is just cool like that :)

  • this game? It was cake. Delicious, but easy nonetheless.

  • DALM THIS GAME IS FUCKING HARD, It doesn't suck but it's harder than part 3, part 2 and Nexus.

  • The only thing I do NOT like in the mechs is the fact that they... scate around. I understand the need of rocket thrusters, but really, scating? They have legs, I think mechs should use their legs to WALK. If they want a 100-ton killing machine that glides around, they should make sled tanks or something. Still, awesome.

  • walking is slow,

while jus hovering just slightly above the ground using its boosters, will give it less frictions, and btw, in the game you only reali walk if your energy is depleted and need it recharge.

  • Hmmm, Yeah. True.

  • moon blade is the most powerful blade in Armored Core History..... its long range and high damage with good speed.

  • boost and press the saber button at the same time ull see a nice engry wave come out of it hehe

  • @LeoClinton8

moonlight's not the most damging blade in aclr, its the blade that mollycoddle/genobee uses, though it has crap range. i prefer it over the moonlight because it's actually useful when you're moving around alot.

  • in actuality, it's not. there are two things that determine blade damage in LR other than the arm: the actual attack power of the blade and the power of the wave (which is hidden and seperate from the blade) the ELF3 (2nd shortest, hotest blade) is actually the strongest. rankings 1st- ELF3 2nd- MOONLIGHT, LB3 3rd- LB4 4th- TAUROS 5th- ELF2, LB2, ELF 6th- LB, RAIJIN 7th- FUHJIN yeah, wave blades are low dmg, but they are easier to achieve blae tracking with...
  • @calangel really? that's news to me, I've always thought that the LB3 was the most powerful on straight up blade damage because of the stat. then, how about TAROS? its damage is around 1400 but it's double opening, wouldn't it make the damage x2?

  • this intro looks like a movie, it's an awesome game no doubt!

  • I find it interesting how they would have Phoenix (Yes it is a different variation, but he has been revamped over the Armored Core games, almost like an evolution) in the intro, being Last Raven, it makes a lot of sense to do that and I thank them for using him in this intro. He's been a kind of mascot for the Armored Core franchise, at least from AC to ACLR.

  • never played the game, but they did fan-fucking-tastic with the intro. I want to buy the game so badly!

  • @Ages139 Well, good luck, this game is extremely difficult.

  • ok first of all there are so many people that say Mecha genre games suck, well to the people that say those things should BE BEATEN everyone loves i mean LOVES mecha games such as All of the Armored Core titles and even some of the not so normal titles like Front mission and Mech Commander. I OWN ALL OF THE AC TITLES coming from PS1 all the way to PS3/ 360 titles theyve PWNED all the imitators No one can beat the original

HOPE TO SEE MORE FROM "From Software"

    AC OWNS ALL!!!

  • HELL YEAH!!

  • @DeathDealerFox ur a god

  • @DeathDealerFox

Yeah but i think that the reason so many people complain about them (including me to a certain extent) is their apparent lack of enjoyment. I mean someone like you who actually "gets" the appeal of AC titles might enjoy the game but i guess that the other lot gets turned off by the clunky controls or by the learning curve of it.

  • @Rahxephon63 lmao the learning curve is what makes it awesome

I will say this though the Older AC titles had a way better story (well at least an understandable story) from the newer games

other than that all of the AC games rock and I cant wait till AC5 comes out

  • @DeathDealerFox

Agreed, the tweaking of various parts and learning what part is better is what makes the game so fun but sadly, with the modern games are made, "Learning Curve" is becoming an ancient relic.

  • @Rahxephon63 yeah true, to bad it is that way

but with AC5 there may be a new learning curve because I heard they will change a few things

  • @DeathDealerFox

You know i often wondered, why can't they just make AC an Action RPG series. I mean they hit pretty big with Demon's Souls. So why can't the AC series be done the same way. Bring an awesome post apocalyptic story, and then throw in that deep customization that fans love. I bet both RPG and Sim lovers will both have something to enjoy. Don't you think?

  • @Rahxephon63 well if they did that it would be the death of AC series no one would buy it to tell you the truth because it goes away from the way the AC series has been presented and shown it would have to be more like a Devil May cry engine than a Final fantasy

but it would be better for it to be open world so you can go anywhere in the world you want and have random fights along the way would be awesome

  • @DeathDealerFox

Or it could be a new evolution of the series. I mean think about it. Especially in videogames you either evolve or become stale. So why can't this series evolve or morph into something else while retaining its core components.

  • the main robot looked like a hellion from mech warrior... and if you do not know the game lets just say you would rather walk then be in one

  • it s BJ

  • not realy....if u are patien lol~

  • i agree... ive played every ac games... LR is the hardest... sadly the customization on it was the best... so it was a dream come true and a dream crushed

  • it certainly ranks next to the PS1 ones as well

  • The first part of the intro where it shows all the mech's faces is the best

I really looked forward to the PYTHON because BJ and Zinaida had it and it was really cool. But its weak. I went thought that zinaida mission just for that. And it isnt all that great.

  • Might be... I find Silent Line harder to complete 100% though...

  • i thought so

  • Is that AC Cascade Ranger on the VR Arena?the one with broken arms

  • Yes, indeed, and this AC royally sucks, and the Python is ridiculously weak, this CG gives you lots of hopes for this gun when you get it, until you find out that it does less damage than the already toned down KRSW... T__T

Still, Casade Ranger is nice Eye candy... :D

  • So if that broken arm AC is BJ, Who is the that other AC destroy his arms?

  • He's an unknown. He doesn't appear at all in the game. He;s just a "guest".

  • How easy is this game

  • Its hard, if you never played a Armored Core game before you'll will find it very hard.

  • okay im saved ive played 7 AC games

  • i love how in the AC series intro's the one with a missing arm is always the one who wins

  • uh do the robots care if they get there arms and stuff choped of?

  • They're technically not robots as they have a human pilot, the term Giant Robot is used but a more accepted name is Mecha or Mechs.

  • Well, in this series, damaged parts can affect performance.

  • Yeah, espacially ing the pulverizer battles that you do, it makes or breaks your AC

  • took all the pulzrizers on, my AC was light weight i got hit bye bye 2000HP :D the 4 legged one was the hardest in my opinion, the rest was push overs i fked em up lol, and yes hardest AC i played too, still hamered it and got everything took me agers though >.>

  • Why is there infantry in AC? What can they hope to accomplish???

  • Same reason as the beetle in that vid. :P

  • @Sirradal infantry cost a lot less than an AC.

  • BJ/Cascade Ranger looks mad at 1:54 - 1:57 XD his 1:40 - 1:45 rep and coolness got pwned by the ladon 2

  • i cant watch this video

    comment me back cu

  • i still prefer armored core nexus though.......the game i mean.....not the intro vid........

  • What is Armored Core all about? It's looks like gundam wing almost...I have seen the intro for Nexus...and it looks better...

  • The story for Armored Core changes from game to game, but to simplify, it's generally about warring corporations in an almost post-apocalyptic futuristic setting. You play as a "Raven", or a mercenary, hired by these corporations to fight.

At a glance it may seem similar to Gundam, but Armored Core tends to take a much more gritty, realistic, and above all else, oppressive and surreal, approach to the mecha genre, as opposed to Gundam, which is generally more like..."fantasy mecha". x]

  • Unless your talking about the UC time line. Doesn't get much grittier than kill em all Tomino.

  • You're absolutely correct.

I feel kind of bad for forgetting about that.

    I'm sorry. .__.

  • That's ok. Char will spare you and not drop a colony on you... For now.... ;)

Seriously though, I enjoy some of the alternate Gundam universes but UC and CC are king. I can't wait till the next UC anime comes out!

  • awsome but i say 3's intro is a bit better

  • Nice intro, too bad the game sucked royally like every other PS2 title after Nexus

  • Damn this intro is badass! I still think the intro to AC2 is my favorite but this one is definately better than AC4.

  • I like AC3s intro the most.

  • yeah it is but notas epic then these 2

  • best intro to a AC game Last Raven intro > AC4 for answer intro

  • Idk...Nexus was pretty good too.

  • I thought nexus was better. Loved the music in it.

  • Wow. Let's see Sonic the Faggothog top this.

  • They should bring back the monoeyed mid weight grey AC vs the big bad heavy red AC.

Or have red ACs vs blue ACs. Classic battle colors...

  • Its too bad you can't shoot off arms and legs in AC. It would make it much more realistic. The new AC games suck for ps3 and 360. No skill and the ACs have stupid PLUS abilities.

  • I agree, I don't like the latest games. Silent Line and Armored Core 3, now those where some games.

  • yeah...they r fun just not a challange.. :(

  • Its always the bugs witch have to die like there insignificant isn't it

  • the only way they change is from working to a pile of metal on the battle ground ...trust me i know and any one else that has played this game will agree

  • Amazing though that after all of that the beetle isn't even scratched!

  • Is that Dual Face AC!

  • i have this game, fucking badass cg intro

  • I'M supposed to be getting it tomorrow

  • cool dude

  • this is the ac BJ the biped that wins.... pretty easy arena opponent

  • I CANT FIND THIS GAME!!!! i have from 2 up to nexus but i cant find this one!!!!

  • ever tried amazon? i got all my AC games from them

  • I checked there and last raven cost like 80 bucks

  • probably cuz you want it brand new...though that IS a ridiculous price...i just checked for ya and ya i guess you could have better luck at like gamestop or w.e but if i really wanted it id just go get it from amazon...

  • i found it like a few weeks ago and got it for $29 ^^ go EB games

  • I remember buying it for.....23$. Oh hell, Armored Core still has it's values ^^

  • after u get to the ending im at u wish u didnt buy it -_-

  • There are different endings so that varies. I haven't gotten all of them.

  • its not a hard game at all i love it i beat it 136% (thats the entire game

) watch my vids they should help guid you.

  • the ending im at is the one with the Bipedal Pulverizer. i restarted the game and still got to the same ending

  • when the unknowns fly at you at the start of the levle, just boost forward til ya hit the structure. look up and keep walking forward into the wall. its in one of my videos.

  • all i did was boost around it. ill try ur way

  • ya thats wat i used to do til i found out about this btw when u do it my way u have to look up for some reason.

  • Da beetle is unharmed!

  • lol oh that's good X)

    thank goodness

  • agreed, this intro was a gorgeous display...

  • which s newer , raven or four

  • 4 is newer

  • thank you

  • Last Raven was the only game which its arena let you fought all of the intro ACs that were in the series from ps1 to ps2

  • Really well-done intro, unique for an A.C. game. The intros for all the ps2 games up until this point all tried to portray more and more complex, fast-paced battles (note the progression from AC3, to Silent Line, to Nexus), but this takes some very simple, sudden, direct combat, and completely explores it in detail. The long lead-in and menacing ambient music set the tone so well... The feel is much more post-apocalyptic than ever before.

  • With your permission, I'd like to include your thoughts in my new book entitled "Things We Already Knew Just from Watching the Video." Look for it to hit shelves this winter.
