only prob with this pedal, is I can never see the led! I may have to remove that middle knob black part... I like the pedal a lot. or i can move it all the way to the right side of my board so I can get an angle view.
I love this chorus, I have one green label, but has a big mistake in design, if I don't stand up over him, is impossible to see the light, the middle knob is in awful position. Still is a excelent chorus.
Try running it in stereo to two amps, in Mode 2. You get the spacey wet chorus sound but the bass is more intact, thus it's warmer and not so icy-sounding. Plus works better with dirt that way.
@footudotnet The old ones are 12v aca adaptor but if used in a daisy chain it defeats that voltage drop in the pedal and works off 9v and 9v batteries work great to
@PanduGus in stereo no I haven't as of yet but in mono I have tried it and it doesn't really sound very different in mode 1 but in mode 2 it is only wet signal so can get some strange vibrato
Yep, no bass, shrill high end, just like I remember them being. 1:20 PMSL just such a shitty chorus pedal and that song really shows so clearly how bad they are.
Its funny that you say that cos while they're are better chorus sound, everything I've tried sucks in comparison (Guyatone MC3, BOSS CH-1, Ibanez CF7)
Don't even listen to that fool. Just look at their profile.......just some frustrated hack who leaves negative comments on people's clips. This is a good pedal, especially for the money. There might be more "lush" or expansive choruses out there, but this one is totally usable and perfect for '80s music.
Its an 80's chorus pedal with lots of colour and definition unlike many on the market that have no depth or character at all.. You want more bass then u have to turn up the bass on your amp or EQ
@TheSongsparrow I'd be surprised to see many true stereo demos on utube by amatuers. Thats two exact amps two mics at least then recording into seperate channels a costly set up for the sake of a few demo's but maybe I'll do one with some amp sims later on as that is much more manageable
@race1717 Yeh the one in the video is an 82 version but I think they stopped making them in 1992 or around there and they brought the CH-1 in to replace it.
what other possibilities are there for powering this pedal besides the daisy chain? and what differences has it with respect to moderns choruses, i mean about tone? thank you
@kurdt47clon There are a few Brick style power supplies (be careful with the Dunlop DC Brick as the outputs aren't isolated but others like PPII and the BBE Supa Charger are) that over 12v outputs and you can use these or you can use batteries. As it is analog batteries don't run out too quickly.
I have this pedal. its great overall

The Chorus gives off tthe kind of sound they used in the 80s or somewhere around.
race1717 1 year ago 2
@race1717 Yeh it was originally released in 84 I think and is similar sounding to the CE-2 which was 81 and is used on tons of 80's recordings
