  • awesome it looks awesome, like a robot part from halo reach so epic, I hope it helps you out more then being in a wheel chair. Im happy to see people like you not give up and winge like my life is ruined, good job.

  • thanks so much for your quick reply.I can't get another leg yet so I'm trying to do with this one.The running feet are so much also. I just ordered a poweriser foot...don't know if your familiar... I will try to come up with some design. My gait is what's off. I can't seem to run with out skipping on my good leg to catch up for the next step. Wish I could figure it out. I watch your video and try to see what is different about my process but just can't figure it out...thanks

  • Ronnie,I am an amputee (3 years) I have a c-leg. I'd love to run but cannot seem to get the action right...I have to skip with my good leg. I don't know if I'm doing the movement wrong or what. My ortho man says the c-leg is not to be used for running. So I wish I knew what I needed to do.I'd love to feel my body run again.I ran everyday prior to my accident. Thanks for any help.

  • @mwestervelt

It is very difficult to run with a C-leg. I have only ever known a few people that could do it. I recommend the other set up for running, Total Knee 2100 with an Ossur Flex Run. This is the easiest and most efficient setup for running.

If your prosthetist is not familiar with fitting running legs, I work at a company that specializes in working with athletes. We work with Paralympic runners and Triathletes from all over the country.

Let me know if you need any other info.

  • and what's the company name of your leg it' seem fantastic , my father had cut his leg 6 dayes ago , and now i'm looking to find the best leg for him and to let him move normal , regards

  • congratulation's brother so understood this type of leg cost about $10000 US dollar , i really appreciate your answer , thanks alot .

  • I happen to be a Lab tech at a orthotic and prosthetic company in Iowa.

  • Thank you Ronnie :)

  • In Brazil, a C-Leg costs around R$100.000.. it's like $55.000... but think about it, 'cause in Brazil the salary is much lower than the majority of countries. I mean, it's rare to find someone who gots one C-Leg... The Ossur prosthetics is almost unkown here...maybe the best you can get here is the 3R80... I got one, I feel fine, but it cost me R$25000, it' around a $10.000. Everything here is so fucking expensive !! +___+

  • Ronnie, can you tell me which knee and foot do you use for those runings, tks a lot

  • The C leg in Australia costs around $30,000. Even a decent knee costs around $7000. Do you have to pay much for yours over there?

  • Been through knee for almost 6 years and I still have major problems (used to be a below knee and could play sport and run), I can hardly go for a decent walk let alone run. I wish I could.

  • I am going to run outside right now (I'm serious) - good video.

  • thanks Ron for the info,I am 2 years into the loss of my leg,use to run everyday, but have a c-leg and no good running foot.I am looking for maybe a used foot to run again.Thank ,Mike ....wpmwest@comcast.net
