If you can't take advantage of the great education and people that go there, then you would be wasting your time, but if you can learn to live with other people in a confined area, like any other school, and you realize there are tons of great people there, you'll have a great time at BJU. Usually, you'll have to visit BJU for yourself if you want to have an objective perspective--which I think will be a positive perspective after being there once.

Thats like saying if you graduated from any undergrad university from anywhere in the US, they may not accept your curriculum in the grad school tried to get in.

There is something wrong with this. If a graduate or undergraduate to be a graduate student tries to transfer any graduate hours to another state, there are strict restrictions in the state colleges you try to transfer into.

my dad wanted me to go there. i was suspicious & did my research. i read all the rules on the website & even took a campus tour this summer. its all a facade, a big lie. they showed me the beautiful chapel, the magnifacent paintings, & the extensive art gallery. they were very hesitant to show me the dorms & i had to be somewhat relentless in getting to see them b4 i got a full picture. i even watched some of bob jones talking on you tube. he is a false prophet. beware of false prophets.

I see where you are coming from. Some who are "forced" to go there are hurt spiritually. For others, it is a wonderful transforming of opinion and person. I had a best friend who went from total rebel to student body president there. I hope that your friend's experience is that the heart is open to God's transformation. He is capable of using all situations to the good of the person on which he is working. He is STILL working in my life. I hope he is working in yours :)

It was actually a great experience for me! This is a false representation of what the school is really about. If someone dislikes the atmosphere, he doesn't have to go there. In fact, it is preferable he doesn't. Why are you giving them your money if you feel that way? The parents might have thought that if they sent their children to a conservitive christian school, the kids would come out being conservitive christians with a desire to serve the Lord. It's actually not as bad as it seems; it's only as bad as it gets to you. The university obviously has old-fashioned rules, but I'd say the majority of students are mature enough not to let that define them. So they're not trapped or anything.
