Thanks tons! I've never heard of that core, I'll have to try it out somewhere! Been looking to replace my old offensive RU team because it's outdated =/ Maybe I'll try it there. Really appreciate the vid!
I'm a pretty huge Torkoal fan as well, he has massive defense and received a huge blessing in air balloon. Without lefties he's fairly vulnerable but can pull off suicide sets and is a good wish pass candidate
Hey there guys, is there any1 that could possibly teach me a few basics about wifi battles (EVS, Nature Etc) i've never had a wi-fi battle b4 and i really want to get into wifi battles but i dont wanna get my butt handed to me every time so i need some major help plz Thank you inbox me if u can help :)
i get hp ground for probopass and electric types/other magnetons but tbolt is stronger against steel, poison, and fire types... i guess its the better option though considering ice really isnt really that prevalent in NU, but it does hit grass and ground types harder than flash cannon. and fucks up harvest tropius and torterra.
@seinalaz im pretty sure you have to stay in next turn with it after you use giga impact. even though it sounds good to use because you're gonna slackoff next turn anyway it kinda makes you easy an revenge kill.
You naming threats and good counters just got me in the mood of making a team, and I feel like I'm making one with you even though you don't know it. Which sounds kind of creepy, but they don't call me the Sharpedophile for nothing.
Thank you so much for uploading this. It's really helpful to see how you take the metagame into consideration when constructing a team. Though I'm not very experienced in the NU tier, I think it's worth mentioning that Cryogonal could make a decent rapid spinner. The stealth rock weakness hurts a lot. but it does have access to recover and its great special defense allows it to wall a good deal of special oriented pokes. Also, you should really stop being lazy and use return over retaliate.
Hey I have a question about tiered battles, if a poke that could learn a move in the earlier gen but can't learn it in gen 5, is it not allowed to have it in a tiered battle of gen 5 then?
@GunMonkey696 I have, everyone keeps suggesting that. I don't like it. After giga impact you can't switch, however after retaliate even with truant you can.
@TheAcousticKind How do you deal with volt-turn teams? Even in lower tiers they are really putting me off of running Slowking, a poke I've loved since I played ADV
For my RU Team I use a F/W/G core in Screens & Taunt Serperior, Wish Passing Alomomola, Rocks and Spinning Torkoal(Decent, fire type for core, and needed for spinning Toxic Spikes), with Eviolite Max HP and Max SAtk Magneton with Volt Switch to Trap and Counter Klinklang and Swellow, Jolly Scarf Braviary for U-turn and being a good revenge killer in general, and SubCM Mesprit to set up using the Screens late game.
Woah, nice team building process man. I really like your idea on a Normal / Psychic / Poison core. Really hope to see you test this team out on wifi :)
Isn't Eviolite Wartortle a really good rapid spinner in NU? Haven't played in a few weeks but think it is NU lol. and decent FWG cores off the top of my head can be Wartortle, (Toxic) Spikes Roselia, and Magmortar/Combusken with like Heal Belling Altaria/Miltank lol idk :P nice vid though twas fun listening too.
oh yeah, 30min vid is a great way to inspire me to start posting again... Jks i just my what some call random, unbalanced team, but i call high risk teams.... 2 scarfs, u mad bro

Is there any way you can boost the audio on your videos? They're pretty quiet, even with my volume turned all the way up.

Such a great video, in depth description, competitive thinking, not even boring since you're constantly narrating and typing. Awesome, awesome job.
