I have tried and tried to hoop and applique onto a onesie with fail. Is there a trick to it?

It mostly takes practice to get good at it. You can also stitch out the design on a separate piece of fabric and attach it to the onesie later using fuseable fabric adhesive. Hope this helps!

So how did you put that on to the onesie. Did you hoop the actual onesie?

For this particular onesie I embroidered a patch and then sewed the patch on the onesie. I also hoop and embroider onto the actual onesie a lot of the time, it just depends on the design.
