dude honestly thank u so much. i couldnt figure out how to build a power plant until saw how u got the menu up. used to love this game, if anyone wants to find it i think i got it at btmon.com. U have to dl azereus or vuze or another torrent program but it honestly takes 4 secs to install.

@thabeastify1 you get it off of a website.  but you need to have an engine like DOSbox 0.74 for simcity2000 to work on windows vista and up.

DOSbox is a whole buch of scripts that you edit for your likings.. its to complicated for me to explain... so don't ask how.. just look it all up.

you need to have a lot a lot a lot of people and it will unlock i think like 200,000 people. or theres a cheat. type priscilla while playing and a bar should say debug at the top click get all presents and it will be in the courthouse logo if you hold it.

the only build within 3-4 spaces from roads

the three little bars on the lower part of the tool window tell you what people want

green = residential

blue = commercial

yellow = industrial

i need help on how to build industrial areas, i have placed them but nothing is building..:( help please.

first you need a power plant. then take the road toolbar and make some roads. then zone an area for industrial in between the roads. connect the power lines to them from the power plant. it will help if you also zone some resedential areas close to the industrie zones to get things growing. all an all that should help.
