These two had some great programs with great skating to back them up. Shame about the costume here. Their spins are a little scary to watch because they are so close together in them.

We, and by that I mean figure skating and gymnastics and dance fans, we just don't see anything like this now. The judging system has changed in this sport, perhaps for the best of reasons, but perhaps, also because tv ratings were in doubt. We, figure skating, gymnastics, and other fans, will not see anything like this soon. Not a perfect skate but near. Nothing like this in the last 10 years. To all young hopefuls out there, keep working and believing in what you love.

@ja3399 Nobody is really happy with this CoP's system put in after that debacle in 2002. Everyone is doing the same thing and now you get EXTRA CREDIT?!? for ' attempting' a more difficult element but not successful completing it? What kind of system is that? You either did it or you didn't. I for one am tired of seeing bony children doing a 'free program' that resembles compulsory dances in Ice Dancing. Everyone is doing the same thing. Boredom, than tediousness sets in just watching it.

Thank you for posting this - and for posting it in high quality!! I never thought I'd be able to see this performance (I only saw the LP). One of the most exquisite back-to-back skating partners at the Olympics. :)
