  • Everytime I wonder about a product seems almost always I can depend on you having done a review on it, I've really grown to trust your opinion! Really appreciate all the work you do here and love your videos! x

  • what about the pores???? does it close the pores better then other primers? -and for how long does it do it?

and also -for how long does it smooth the wrinkles?

    thanks:-)

  • Doesn't fill in anything, its absolutely crap cos its really expensive as well so don't buy it!!!!!

  • Thanks for the review, I have a question: I go back and forth on silicone primers, I don't really know if they help makeup to look fresh during the day or not, I never notice a difference really, BTW I have oily skin and sometime blemish prone. But I'm wondering how you really know if silicone breaks you out. I never really know. do you have any suggestions. Thank you!

  • @AndreaJuliet silicone ones usually break me out too! I like the new hourglass one and the phillips milk of magnesia does work well!

  • Hi, Is this the same as the L'Oreal studio secret primer? Thanks!!

  • @MrMscaliban no it is totally different- the loreal is more matte!

  • @MrMscaliban yeah its like lisa says, the loreal one is thicker and more like putty! although some people see to think the clarins one is a bit polyfillerish. ive got it and for me its the only one i can see my 'number 11s' between my brows actually disappear before my eyes. the downside is that it can leave a little white residue if not blended fully. they now have instant smooth foundation and a self-tan product. one of the good cheaper fillers is the maybelline one which is clear gel

  • Would you prefer the clarins instant smooth perfecting touch over the mac fast response for under eye use????

  • @gogirl602 I go back and forth I like them both about the same!

  • Have you tried the shiseido make up primer??

  • @gogirl602 I have not tried it yet!

  • I LOVE THIS! I'm on my 3rd container, too bad it has not worked for others, we have to keep in mind that not everybody has the same skin types, I first tried a sample of it and went back and purchased it, loved it ever since!

  • this product does not have oils

  • I am 38 and got this primer last week.I try half of my face with it and nothing the other half, one day with liquid fundation, next day with mineral fundation. In both cases, asking several people, all agree the sidewith primer looks worst, the wrinkles around the eyes where showing more. for me doesn't work, shame as it was not cheap. My skin is normal to dry and the primer feel good and pores looked a little bit better, but make my wrinkles show more :(

  • oh no I am sorry to hear it was so bad for you!

  • Is it better than Clarins beauty flash balm?

  • I have not tried the beauty flash! Sorry!

  • That was a great review! I do the same but use Benefit Dr Feelgood over the rest of my face. But the Clarins is perfect in filling the lines around the mouth and eyes!

  • Well, I do the same thing! I use Clarins primer under my eyes and lips ( I'm 35 year old) and smashbox primer in others parts. I find this combination perfect fo my skin and fine lines (ehm.. wrinkles..) Clarins primer is amazing for smooth down the lines.

  • im fer sherrr gettin some of this stuff this wknd w/my sephora christmas gift card. yeayyyya!

btw lisa, i have never ever seen your nails anything but french, and they look gorgeous w/what you're wearing in this video!

  • Thanks for this review Lisa! - Is there a good primer for oily/combo(sensitive) skin that is good for filling in fine lines? anything you'd recommend??

  • That is a hard one because most items that fill lines are not really good for combo skin. I use one primer oil control (Murad) on my face and then I use either Clarins Instant touch or Skin Fx by Cover Fx aruond my eyes for the fine lines- I hope this help you!

  • Hi Lisa! I love your channel, i got a question, please, please you make me so happy if you can answered, i was yesterday in the counter of Clarins in my local deparment store, and the Counter lady told me that the Clarins Instant Smooth, isn't meant for under eyes, it is for the rest of the face, but not recommended for the under eye area, so, i didn't buy it, i don't have fine lines, except in my under eye area near by the tear duct... isn't harmful for the eye area? i guess not, but...

  • I have had no issues with it around my eyes, but if you are concerned you can try Cover Fx Skin Fx for around your eyes I use that one also!

  • @Lisasz09 - Do you have a review on Cover Fx Skin Fx? if you don't could you please can make one? Cause i really want to make a good purchase, i don't buy very expensive things very often, and i want to do the best investment i can.

You are very kind to take your time and answer all of us, thank you Lisa!!! xD!

  • I do have the skin Fx and I do ahve it on my list to do a review on it!

  • Check out HSN video on this primer. They put it all over the face including under eyes. So I'm guessing it is ok.

  • Thank you! i've already but it and i have one week of use, and for under eyes, like Lisa said, it is beautiful, but for all my faces it does get oily, but i'll still, repurchase it does minimize my pores into my cheek area, and does fill my fine lines under my eyes, great! :D

  • yes I found this to be way too greasy to use all over face

  • for under your eyes, do you also use an eye moisturizer?? i have dry under eye area with a few lines

  • I use my daily eye moisturizer and let it set for a min then I apply this primer before I put on concelaer! :o)

  • What moisturizer do you use? Great channel Lisa!

  • I use Patricia Wexler Serum and the 3 in 1 moisturizer! :o)

  • Hello!

What about pores? Were they less noticeable?

By chance, have you ever tried revlon instant firming primer?

  • I did not notice a smaller pore size. I have not tried teh revlon primer yet!

  • @Lisasz09 it``s not for pore`s than u need to use an other product (serum pore from clarins) ;-))) works perfect

  • Does the prep and prime fill the lines too?? why do you love it so much??

  • no prep and prime doesnt fill in lines- I love it because it keeps my foundation on like glue! :o) I use this one around my eyes becausse it gets rid of fine lines! :o)

  • That's weird I have an oily/combination skin and this is the best primer I've tried so far.

Maybe it's because I don't have a very oily skin. I don't know, lots of my friend who have an oily skin love it too.

I guess it really depends on your specific skin.

    Great review !

  • wow- I am supprised! I am so glad that it works for you! :o)

  • is it suitable for combination/normal skin types??

  • yes I think it would be good for that, but not if you get oily dirring the day! :o)

  • I bought this and it is the best primer I ever wore. I have normal-dry skin.

  • yay! I am so glad you love this primer! I can not live without it around my eyes! :o)

  • you know what ...that stuff did the same thing to me! i felt like my make up was running off my face! eww! :( but i havent tried the spot treatment like u say you use it..so i DEFINATELY might try that...can u elaborate on the prep & prime? the only thing with my skin is i used to have VERY BAD acne...so i have those pit scar things...can you recommend anything to fill those in atleast maybe a little bit? thank u so much for the video! :)

  • i love love love it for the spot treatment- amazing! :o) I do have a review on the MAC prep and prime with SPF 50! I dont know what can cover acne scaring- I have heard the CoverFX is great for that, but I have not used it! :o) Enjoy!

  • ohh I am so glad that you liked this product! yay! :o)

  • does the clarins primer have a perfume smell to it??? been using smashbox primer and it still settles in my lines under the eye.. please let me know when you fined that perfect concealer...i have done laser teatments and considering injections but scared to be honest...love your videos....and you always look amazing... :) whatver you are doing well its working...

  • I do not smell a scent with this product! I prefer this to any other product or botox (which I have tried for those lines also) Good Luck I hope it works for you! :o)

  • unfortunatly this one didnt work for me :( i have to take it back to sephora (i just hate returning things but good thing i can get my money bac ;)

  • sorry it didnt work for you! :o( I am glad you could get your moeny back though! :o)

  • lisa, love your skin. what treatments do you do to your skin, and what kind of laser. thanks:)

  • thank you so much! I will be doing a video on my skincare routine and facials I do soon! :o)

  • I enjoy this product and also feel it does fill in tiny lines and gives a nice finish. I have not tried the prep and prime yet but will this week...it is blue????

  • My prep and prime is white not blue! I hope this helps you a nd I hope you like both primers! :o)

  • Kinda wierd...those are the two exact areas that I use this primer on too! I love this product. Thanks for the review!

  • yeah I am glad you love it too! :o) It is great on those areas!

  • You got me to buy this at Sephora yesterday. I had a microdermabrasion yesterday so I looked like crud today but can't wait to use it tomorrow! It feels really great on my hand and seems like it will fill in the lines really well.

  • yay! Let me knwo what you think! I love my microderm! I go next week and get my laser also! :o)

  • Thanks unfortunetly I dont remember it was taped a long while ago! :o(

  • you can buy i at sephora online! :o) Enjoy!

  • That is weird- were you ever able to see it?

  • haha! Thanks! :o)

  • yes my fav is mac prep and prime spf 50! :o)

  • That was exactlly what I thought! That is why I thought it was important to give people another option for it! :o)

  • I am glad you love it too! :o)

  • Lisa did you block me? LOL.. my comment from before is gone and happened before too. :(

  • no that is weird- your comment showed p here! :o)

  • Fantastic review! I've been talking to my Mother about getting this product.

  • I hope she likes it! :o)

  • I had been wondering about this product. Thanks for the review.

  • you got it! let me knwo if you get it and what you think if you do! :o)

  • Thanks Lisa! Great review :)

  • Thanks so much! :o)

  • Do you know the ingredients for this product? Thanks!

  • I do not- you can look it up on Clarins. :o)

  • ur skin looks rlly good!!! idk if its just the camera...

    but either way....

can u do a skincare video?!?!?

  • aww thanks so much! I do have a skincare video. I am thinking of doing an updated one- I have changed ony onething really! :o)

  • Can you please tell me how you use this WITH the Korres? Do you apply Korres and let it absorb and then apply the Clarins or vice versa? Thanks! I adore your reviews. You do such a wonderful job.

  • I put the primer on my eyes and lips and let it absorb then I apply my foundation! I hope this helps you! :o)

  • Thanks, Lisa! I'm going to try this for around my eyes! I also use and adore the Mac SPF primer--I can't go without it! Great review! Lisa

  • The PP50 is to drying on my eyes, so I love this for my eyes and lips! :o)

  • thanks so much! I've been wanting to try this for a while! Awesome help :)

  • yay! I am glad this review helped you! :o)

  • I will be buying this. I have dry skin and just started to notice fine lines under my eye. I am a contact lens wearer and hate that I have to pull my lids to put them on.

  • I think this will be great for you! Enjoy! :o)

  • I've been wanting to try this for a while. A lot of Clarins products have heavy scents which I can't tolerate b/c my skin is so sensitive. Does this have a scent? My skin is normal to dry so this would probably be good for me so long as it's unscented. Great review, as always :)

  • I dont notice a scent with this, but I am also not very sensitive to scents! Enjoy! :o)

  • thanks so much for doing the review! I'm going to have to buy this because my problem area is the eye area. Thanks again.

  • I am glad you enjoyed! Let me knwo what you think! :o)

  • I totally agree with your review! I usually use this around my nose and mouth, haven't tried it around my eye area - so thanks for the tip :) It is great during winter time!

  • I am glad you use it the same way! :o)

  • oh. and one more thing - I don't know if you're wearing a self tanner here on your face but it's great - so if you do I like that self tanner the best :)))

  • haha! Thanks! :o)

  • Thank you for this review! I use the primer and I really don't seem to have a problem fith the oiliness, but I'll probably tyr that spf 50 primer too (I'm travelling in about 2 months so I will have an access to MAC stores in Austria yay:))))

  • Yay! You will love the prep and prime! It is a HG product for me! :o)

  • Hmm.. I have this and havent really been sold on it. I havent noticed it helping with my fine lines.. maybe my lines arent as fine as I thought they were... LOL!!! I was using this all over tho. Im in desperate search of something that will minimize the pores on my nose and this didnt help fill those like i hoped.

If you have any recommendations for me that would be great! Im going to try clarins just around my eyes and lips instead of my whole face.

  • Have you tried cliniques pore minimizer? That seems to work with pores! I hope this helps! :o)
