Rod didn't sing this specific song though, Ronnie Wood did the vocals because Rod didn't deem it "good enough" at the time. Eventually he put out the album "When We Were The New Boys" which included his own version of this song. Both are brilliant imo.
5th fret. Glad you liked it! When I recorded, I matched everything to the original recording. I had to use some digital magic to change the pitch of the original so that when I listened to it, everything was in the same key. Sounded like Rod Stewart as a chipmunk.
Thanks man. You mean original chorus with "all i know now" rather than "what I know now"? I wasn't sure what the lyrics were, but "what I know now" is what I always thought it was. I think it works either way.
I like the original better but good song

The kazoo becomes a metaphor. What you wish you knew when you were younger is that kazoos are cool.

Oh. Yeah, I raised the pitch up about 4 half steps. When I try singing a song, I modify the pitch to my range. I don't have a very broad one.

love the song :)
nice nice @ piano :)

Thanks for noticing the piano. I tried recording that with my camera, but it was too difficult.

The only thing that was missing was a video portion of you dancing and playing the tamborine like a magical fairy nymph.

That clip was too hot for youtube. You can pay 19.95 per month to access the special footage I can't play on youtube.
