The British Parachute Regiment provide most of the troops for the SAS. Google 'Parachute 2 Club' for 2 PARA photo archive. Airborne Brotherhood!!!!!!
i played this song in high school my freshman year! Start at 0:58 and after the snare drum roll there is a really high picted sound and its very quite! thats the triangle and i played that!
yeah, European marches are meant to be slow. they just sound ridiculous when they are played too fast. lol We just played this last night for our final concert. =) and I think this is about the tempo we went.
My band is playing this :D

Such a great song on bassoon. Feels so strange to have the melody for once.

This march is horrible beyond measure if you are a French Horn player. But, its still a really beautiful piece.

we are probably playing this for our 8th and 7th grade mixed concert band its a very refreshing challenge because most of are songs are too easy!

Seventh grade? My high school's top band just played this at their concert. Our music program isn't very challenging p:

It can be discussed whether the march should be played at 120, 116 or even 108 bpm. But this one sounds more like 92 which is *way* too slow.

Whenever I conduct this song it is at this tempo....It is meant as a British style march ( 110-115 bpm)....not the fast American style (120-128bpm)

Nice! This version is HARD to find professionally done. Most are the faster, more militaristic versions.
