That is why it is called PASAKA or in the LEYTE-SAMAR dialect: An pagsaka ni Maria ngadto ha Langit; that is why the patron saint is called the OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION. This dance presentation doesn't show any significance of the said assumption.
They have utilized everything as props just to give beauty and color to their presentation but the meaning of PASAKA FESTIVAL was obliterated!
