    グリーンの素色のイメージが多いですが底砂をガーネットにして背面、側面と前面以外を黒にすると色が更に上がります。

    大きい遊泳スペースを確保できているのでプレコに噛まれる可能性は難しいじゃないの?

  • don't be suprised that pignose turtle is going to bite your arowana's tail..

  • tanks arent cheap but worth the investment

  • Great specimes, but you shold try to get a bigger tank. Go to Craigslist and pick one up. They're cheap, and more aesthetically pleasing. And the turtle will be big enough for a kid to ride on before it's fully grown; hognose turtles are the freshwater equivalent to sea turtles.

  • @SQUILLA898 Where did you get this information on the Fly River being an equivalent to sea turtles in size? The only thing they have in common is the fact that they live out most of their life in the water. They also have a very slow growth rate and will only max out at about 2 feet if that.

  • @weene858

There was an article in Reptiles USA magazine from a couple years ago detailing the life cycle and care requirements of the Fly River turtle. They showed a large female sitting on a platform in a homemade outdoor pond. The article mentioned that she was close to 4 feet it total length. Most sea turtles also get around that size, although Fly River tutrles are probably not nearly as heavy.

  • @SQUILLA898 Interesting. Do you have a link to the article? I'd love to read it.

  • @SQUILLA898 erhm... has it ever occurred to you that they don't HAVE a craigslist wherever THIS ^^^^^ language is spoken? And craigslist is limited to whatever the local population has up for grabs, and never even claims to have a reliable stock of anything (how could it? it doesn't.) Not always cheap- the best deal for tanks on craigslist where I live was $70 for a ten gallon with some dirty pea gravel and a figure of spongebob and patrick doing it. ( i swear it's true)

  • @microiguana

LOL!! I was thinking the same exact thing when reading that comment about craiglist! haha...some people..
