@eltorten You failed to check... The disto D8 connects via bluetooth and works real well with the IPAD the App is available for alamode's wintotal users at the App store. Also check with alamode.com for their tutorial. Good luck!
@AppraisalIQ I have checked now and I am still right. The problem is that the bluetooth chips used in the Disto series isn't supported by Apple. Leica reps are working on this issue but it hasn't been resolved yet.
I have an iPhone 4S, an iPad2 and a Leica Disto D8 right in front of me and it does not work. The iPhone/ iPad do not recognize the Disto at all.
Also, the alamonde website does not mention any support of Distos for iPhone/ iPad, only Android devices. You know the difference, right?
You failed to mention that iOS devices cannot connect to the Leica Distos.
