  • I think its soothing.

  • I'm so glad I kept my gamecube, being I only got my Wii last year, it was the family edition, so it couldn't play GC games. I was so relieved when I still had my GC.

  • PS. I can put it in the Wii now! :D

  • I miss this. And yeah @Eleeveen I was a little scared of it too when I was 7. XD And I used to bring my Gamecube games to daycare and now its somewhat gone. The only games I got left is Sonic Gems Collections and Ice Age The Meltdown. THEY NEED TO SELL ALL THE OLD STUFF AGAIN! R.I.P PSP, NINTENDO 64, AND ALL THOSE OLD SYSTEMS! BRING IT BACK TARGET, WALMART, AND ALL THOSE STORES!

  • speed it up 16x and youll get a wonderful suprise!

  • I miss having a game cube. Had so many great games for it.

  • I hated this screen. Coming here ment my game didnt work lol.

  • So, that Famicom Disk System?

  • I think my gamecube is in my brothers closet. Although I just play the Wii

How start from hank hill and get to this?

  • @thetemeangel me too,man

  • 0:00-0:05 Instant nostalgia!

  • When you know it's the SLOOOOWED down version of the famicom disc system boot music, you even hear it! :)

  • lol i felt so cool when i first did this :D good times

  • Hated it when I put a disk in, then I thought it loaded but the menu just came up. Had to keep trying to clean the disk and stuff. :(

  • press F13

  • @Spooneads Theres no F13

  • I dare you guys to find a way to speed this up a few times. It's a neat little easter egg.

  • How come Nintendo games consoles nowadays dont have awesome menu music like this?.Im not a wii hater but the wii menu music sucks compared to the gamecubes.

  • Press z

  • my very first game console system. the start up screen, the menu music, all this is is just a big memory. my Gamecube is in my closet. I've kept it there for a long time. I didnt do what others did and now miss theirs. its gonna be something i show my son when im an adult. I cried a bit to looking at all this, the menu music is just something i havnt heard in a ling time. infact i should stop crying about it and hook it up again and play it. i still have tons of those games.

  • Reminds me a memory :*)I still remember that song the menu

  • BEST CONSOLE EVER

  • Nostalgia to my ears...

God, where did my childhood go....?

  • @jaydenparsons96 Same here man, I remember spending countless hours playing super smash brothers, windwaker, and super mario sunshine. Fucking cry worthy.

  • that makes me moist

  • The gamecube was a good console I asked my dad to hook it up to another tv and he says no and he won't tell me why I really loved my gamecube and I still have it but it isn't hooked up to a TV and I have a wii but I want the gamecube I love the menu theme and opening

  • speed it up 16 times and you'll see that it becomes more cool!

  • @OrganMan007 Si es sierto se vuelve cool.

  • @10KirbyTails01

    ????

sorry, but i only know english and vietnamese

  • DAMN YOU NINTENDO!

This was an excellent console. The Wii is just a flat Gamecube with a fingerless power glove, it's not bad but it's the same graphics and hardware inside! The Wiimote should've been just an add-on for the Wii, like Kinect for Xbox is an add-on or 32x for Megadrive was an add-on.

  • Game cube had amazing mario games

  • Nintendo GameCube - Nintendo GameCube Menu Music / Nick Jr. On CBS ID (2000)

  • (R.I.P game cube 2001-2008, n64 1996-2005, snes 1992-2004, ps1 1995-2006, nes 1987-2003) ps2 2001-present, ps3 2006-present, wii 2006-present. fuck u microsoft nd ur trash ass xboxs.

  • @killbill187ful1 thats a bit inacurate 1987-2003? thats a bit long

  • sounds like the Famicom Disk System sped up

  • At 0:05 when I was like 6 that music used to scare me so much XD

  • This is the Famicom Startup Menu theme slowed down. View a sped up 16x video of this theme and you'll see for yourself.

  • Me: hey there! haven't seen you in a while!

    240p: Yeah...

Me: so how are the kids?

240p: They kind of took over my job....

Me: well that sucks... Hopefully you'll find another one.

    240p: yeah... some day...

  • @Staggger 240p has a new job, fucking up every HQ song that's not on the official artist/s's channel or VEVO

  • Sounds like Treefingers by Radiohead, sort of.

  • I love this theme. to

  • I loved the Gamecube more than I did for my PS2 :O Not saying PS2 sucks I liked them both but I played more Gambe Cube games more xD

  • gamecube was amazing

  • this music used to scare the shit outta me

  • @PokemonPro82 still is

  • This music should be in the next Smash Bros., anyone agree?

  • Comment removed

  • imagine if somone had there gamecube on, and had it plugged into a tv witch you couldn't see through there window and turn it up really loud and do this all on halloween night to scare away the trick or treaters

  • Dont remember the music being this creepy

  • Keep note if you still use the Gamecube it's not dead.

  • @ungd1 I still use it. its still hooked up to the old tv- my xbox360 died like 5 times, its still going lol

  • @7en6estu Keep the Gamecube rock and rolling man.

  • @ungd1 lol

  • @ungd1 i have a gamecube with battery and portable tv on it :) it isnt even close to dead you know what im sayin everyone in my school has one,to belive there only 20$ now....such great games...

  • @Japancommercials4U2: could you please extend this version to like 10 mintues?? i would appreciate it sooo much :]

  • It's so chilling, I could fap to it...

  • It was an amazing system. =)

  • I remember the first time the menu startup randomly appeared, I was scarred as shit.

  • You can get these (used) for $20.00!!!

  • @Zikpef104023 in peru gamecubes sells like gold

  • Is it weird that the menu screen used to creep me out a bit when we had it up?

Anywho, I miss our Gamecube... My brother sold it a while back to get his stupid Xbox that I was never once allowed to use, even though it was OURS and not HIS to sell in the first place.

... Where does the time go? :S

  • @Eleeveen my brother sold my super nintendo games for some DS games, i destroyed his DS, he started a fight and i beat his ass...good times....

  • @Eleeveen Your brother's an asshole >:(

  • @Eleeveen

    Me too!

  • @Eleeveen i hate that people this xbox is all that it isnt. nintendo is was brings family and friends together. xbox is what seperated ppl from the real world and stuff but let him cuz later in life he will learn his lesson only one way... your way.

  • the nintendo gamecube intro starts up when a Mary-Kate & Ashley Sweet 16 GCN game disc is inserted then fades out into the Mary-Kate & Ashley Sweet 16 opening sequence.

  • For some strange reason it reminds me of something out of super paper Mario when your in the black hole place.

  • brings me back to my youth:')

  • I think I have a real glitch. For me, when the gate is openned, Since appearing teh gamecube and then th emenu, no. It just appears a image of the square like in the end and the menu. Weird, HUM?

  • @TheLamboDrifter You know, if you want people to help you, you should type sentences that are possible to read.

  • @videogamex9 sorry. The thing is, for me, it doesn´t appear that thing of the square forming, like in 0:00 to 0:05. Just appears the square and the menu.

  • @TheLamboDrifter i can't understand what you say lol

  • I remember this music made me feel so uncomfortable in so many ways

  • I love the sound it makes when the cube flips over into the menu

  • Have this music on my IPod. It's so soothing...

  • wowowowowowowowowowowowowowowowowowowowooooot?!?

  • Why do consoles like gamecube and ps2 have creepy menus?

  • @jibberldd5

well gamecube sped up is famicon. so its not that creepy.

  • @jibberldd5 Yea, but in slow mo, its creepy, and the menu is all dark and stuff.

  • I like the sound at 0:04

  • Comment removed

  • GameCube is better than the PS2 logic

  • Best menu music.

  • ah.. good ol' memories... but i traded in my gamecube for a wii long ago ;_;

  • @RockerLinda21 Was that a mistake :(?

  • @chaos1sonic ehh. well since you're asking.... yes/no yes cuz it would've been awesome to still have it with me and no to me the wii is aweshumer heheh... the games are nice

  • actually this is the famicom startup theme but really slow

  • R.I.P Nintendo Gamecube. November 18, 2001 - February 22, 2007

You had some great memories. :(

  • @TheCanadianToast i wanted a gamecube 2 from nintendo not this gay wii shit -_-'

  • @YuuExussum That would be awesome and surprising too if Nintendo made a GameCube 2. :P

  • @TheCanadianToast they need to, so many people would buy it

  • @TheCanadianToast

2007...the year my own Gamecube was kidnapped...

  • @TheCanadianToast in peru gamecube exist :)

  • @TheCanadianToast R.I.P gamecube games November 17, 2001 - November 30, 2011

  • @TheCanadianToast Well, the GameCube's last game was Madden NFL 2008, which came out in August 2007.

  • @TheCanadianToast It still exists and it still is playable :) If your one's dead, just grab a new one from eBay and play your existing games on the thing.

  • @TheCanadianToast What happened on feb 22nd?

  • @Slayerfan777 Nintendo discontinued Gamecube support and making new Gamecube games on that day...

  • @TheCanadianToast The Gamecube still lives on though. You can play Gamecube games on the wii!

  • Dude do you have a higher quality version of this? This tune is awesome!

  • Comment removed

  • SPEED IT UP IN 16x!!!!!

  • I LIKE THIS SONG I STILL HAVE MY GAMECUBE PUT I DONT PLAY IT SO EVERY TIME MY LITTLE FRIEND COMES OVER HE ALWAYS ASK WERES YOUR GAME CUBE I SAY RIGHT THERE HE TURNS IT ON THEN HE SAID U NO I DONT LIKE THE SONG WHEN NO DISK IS IN THEN I SAID WELL GET READY THEN THE GAMECUBE LOGO STARTED SPINNIN AROUND THEN THE MUSIC STARTED PLAYING THEN I SAID U SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME EARLIER THEN HE RON OUT THE ROOM

  • To be honest, I kinda was afraid of this music when I was younger, idk why, but it seemed so creepy

  • I know music thats like dudh duh DUH DUH! reaally loud like metal rock is creppy. But if its mellow its cooler.

  • @Y0mAMa5957 i think its because it reflects an empty space as you are configuring the hardware itself, something you would never imagine doing as a young child growing up on what was mainly for fun and imagination. Its sounds like something of a dark void or abyss and sounds eerie to those who have never imagined an empty reality. Than again, maybe its just me trying to analyze what I thought when I was younger.

  • @indigograves yeah I see where your getting at

  • this sounds like a slow version of the old famicom intro

  • @rulezdanation of course yes. see it sped up in 16x

  • envy is a bitch

  • I think this is a example of the affect of Nintendo's tradition, regarding consoles. The music is actually the Nintendo Famicom Disk System intro, sped up. Another example is all the Gamecube serial numbers having a "DOL" in front of them, with "DOL" being the first three letters of the codename of the Gamecube while in development, which was Dolphin.

  • @GodOfSubliminal This also happens with the Wii, with serials beginning with RVL. Probably from the Revolution name, announced before Wii!

  • blowing mind...

    done!

  • You're all wrong.

    Famicom Disk Theme.

    Not the Famicom's theme. > o >

But it is sped up x16.

  • Its very releiving to see a menu so simple to relax from all the advanced technology :)

  • This sounds like magical drops in a cave with emeralds. IDK i have a very wide imagination. =D

  • The Gamecube games are simply classic! Super Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, Pikmin 1 and 2, Animal Crossing, Super Smash Bros. Melee, The Wind Waker, Mario Kart Double Dash, DK: Jungle Beat, Kirby's Air Ride, Metroid Prime, SpongeBob SquarePants in Battle For Bikini Bottom, even the infamous Pokemon Channel, they were all great games!

  • @NintendoTV64 One of these things is not like the other.....

  • @TexasRangerification Nice Sesame Street reference.

  • @NintendoTV64 Well in my opinion, SpongeBob SquarePants in Battle For Bikini Bottom could hardly be considered a "classic" but whatever.

  • @NintendoTV64

funny thing i had all of those games

  • Fun Fact:

If you speed up the Gamecube menu theme x16, the tune is actually the Famicom Disk System menu theme.

  • nearly like wii's but more mysterious

  • This song would always pump me up to go back and try a game again after giving up (I'm looking at you, Luigi's Mansion!)

  • This music is good for resident evil

  • Sounds sort of sad to me

  • @mrbenboy77 well for me, when i heard it the first time I SHAT BRICKS

  • good stuff.

  • i use to listen to this for hours setting up my gcn and tv. love it. very relaxing and soothing.

  • this song makes me think in cyber space or a cyber world and it has sense, after all,the gamecube appears to be in an unkown place and the background is black and in the memory card menu, the data is represented with cubes!,yes, the cube form makes me think in a cyber world :D

  • this music scares me when i play this song at night 0_o

  • Oh my god, memories. I haven't seen this thing in 4 years... oh, why oh why did I sell my GCN when the Wii came out?!

  • Lisen to this music then look at ur newest consoles.

it's as if the game cube predicted all these.

  • Hypnotizing music... Sometimes I prefer staying in the music instead playing some game just to listen to this <3

  • This theme needs to die in hell.

  • @IggyKoopaling That's some good advice. Harsh, but good.

  • @Bloodrage6666

    This is Satan's theme.

Scariest shit I ever heard, too.

  • @IggyKoopaling Uhh, no, that's the Gamecube Menu theme. What you're referring to is Ave Satani, which is literally Satan's theme.

  • @IggyKoopaling Actually it's the Japanese NES theme slowed down 6X and looped

  • @jenngra505 no its 16x

  • @PooperoMaster Actaully it's 15x

  • I request a longer version! without the swirly noise of the cube spinning out in the beginning... just a preference, really. but seriously, longer version^^ and without the stuff at the end either

  • I request a longer version! without the swirly noise of the cube spinning out in the beginning... just a preference, really. but seriously, longer version^^

  • If you speed this up a lot, it's the Famicom startup music.

  • COUGH......FAMICOM.......COUGH

Also this sounds like its out of the Subspace Emissary (Brawl)

  • @MrJamal442 brawl sucks compared to Melee

  • @GP20096 <3

  • @GP20096 dude, brawl has a lot more variety and characters than melee,it even has a story mode

  • i love the Gamecube. My favorite. Fantastic music, much like Brian Eno or an aphex twin ambient piece.

  • its the famicom disk system song

  • Speed this up 16 times and it will be awesomer.

  • makes a great holloween erie music

  • The Gamecube Bios menu is the Famicom Bios menu. :P

  • @Fourforce Heh, Gamecube was the first true disc system, and the Famicom Disk System was the first Disc system for floppies.

  • @FoxShot01 Whatever happened to the PlayStation?

  • @Japancommercials4U2 Of Nintendo consoles.

  • @Japancommercials4U2 Have you tried holding Z at the startup for a different startup sound and also holding Z on all four controllers to get another different startup sound? You should make a video of that, also if you have a disc in GameCube and want to access the Nintendo GameCube Menu without having to open the lid to do so just hold A when the Gamecube boots up until it goes to the Nintendo GameCube Menu and then go to Game Play and start your Gamecube game after that.

  • @Japancommercials4U2 He meant for Nintendo. And the Playstation wasn't the first.

  • @sonikku956 Of course, can't forget the Sega CD.

  • @Japancommercials4U2 Or, the CD-i, which came out a few days earlier.

  • @Japancommercials4U2 The earliest I know of is Sega CD.

  • @FoxShot01 Incorrect. There was the Turbo-Duo, Sega Saturn, PSX 1.

  • @nostalgicmind0308 Of Nintendo consoles.

  • @FoxShot01 um what about the nintendo 64 DD

  • @giratina5304 Same thing as Famicom Disc system, they're not true discs like I'm referring to. The N64 DD used custom discs that still worked like cartridges.

  • @Fourforce Yeah but slowed downed by 6 times and looped!

  • I would love it if they made a Gamecube Channel for the Wii, just so you can hear this song again when starting up a Gamecube game XD

  • Comment removed

  • i was amazed when i heard this when i was a
