  • What are your thoughts on the Nook Tablet? Do you consider it a true upgrade from the Nook Color? Outside of the price point they seem very similar to me. Love your channel by the way!

  • lol...You are so cute. :) I like that you look shy :P lol...and your review is very honest and worthwhile. :) Thank you :D

  • heres a tip if u have wifi on ur nook u can go on google images and look up pics and the wen u find one click it and press full size and tap ur finger on it and hold ur finger on it and then u can save it

  • We should swap books.

  • It needs better wallpapers. Not to mention more of their apps should be free as well like on the Ipad. I also wasn't really feeling the app for twitter and facebook. It was ok. Other than that it's a great tablet for the price range.

  • i got one of thede for christmas and it is awesome i really recommend it to people who like to read

  • do you like penis?

  • i have a nook color. it is awsome

  • i can't hear you

  • Don't care about nook..watching this video only because of you!

  • Walden by Henry David Thoreau

honestly my favorite book of all time

  • Good video wowhornby. I was just wondering from your personal stand point how long the battery life lasts when u use it? if i was to use it a few hours through the day and charge it while i sleep is the battery life fine for that?

  • @likespaintball Battery life is not bad. For what you described, Nook Color is perfect. You can also adjust the settings to use less power. The battery will take you through a good 5 hours. I've used it for that much at most, and charged it. I've also charged while I read.

The battery drains even by being off, so sometimes you'll charge it and set it aside for a few days, and I'll still need to charge it. Not sure why this is.

  • Just show us your tits already

  • How did I get here? this is the farthest thing possible in relation to my search... im looking for rooted nook colors. not nok colors that just read books.

  • I think that you should pay more attention to telling about it not that you want to talk about apple but i do like ur vid. :)

  • YOU SHOULD DO A "WHATS ON MY NOOK" VIDEO!

  • hey pretty girl! how is the internet connection? fast or not? thnks

  • @crazyluisito1 Hey! It's pretty good. The reception is good even in light wi-fi zones.

  • Do you have to buy all the books? Or are there free ones too? Is it true you can. Download Netflix like on an android phone? Can you do basic internet surfing?

  • @YouKnowYouuLoveMe BN has some free books, but you can mostly buy them from them. You can download books online too and transfer them via USB. It has a browser, and you can do basic surfing.

  • can it run apps? Does it have an app store? The kindle fire runs apps and games does the Nook run the same?

  • @wowhornby Thank you for the reply.... Appreciate it, I am looking to buy one of these tablets for my mother for Christmas. I use the ipad 2.

  • Hey can you make a video about nook color skin cases?Cause I dont no what kind to get.

  • Does it have a regular sized USB port?

  • @escdcrazy Yes

  • can you add pdfs of epub books?

  • @ezziriah Yup! I upload both on my nook each week.

  • @wowhornby is it a hard process?

  • Hi it's me, i love you :$

  • i like your nails

  • are all the books in your library you had to buy?

  • i like cats =)

  • oh it was a cat

  • do you have a dog? because i think i heard licking its water bowl. =)

  • @wowhornby geezus your so pretty

  • Love those nails, very nice!!!!!! Oh good review also..

  • I love u... Youre amazing just the way you are

  • Can you play games on this ? are there game apps ?

  • hi , can you put music in the nook color?

  • @Markustorres16 Yes. It also has an expandable memory disk.

  • @wowhornby

the nook has the largest selection of ebooks, right? :D

  • Wait! Pretty girls don't read!!

  • @Mr101395 Yeah, it can do video - MP4 from main/SD memory and Flash video in the web browser. As of version 1.2 (it's now on 1.3) Nook Color became an Android tablet with a pared-down app market, so it has most of the same functionality.

  • can you just put books on it that you have stored on your computer, like the ones that you have to use adobe reader to open, because I would get an ereader but only if I could put pirated books on it, I would never ever pay for a digital book.

  • @airgear87 Yes you can. Don't worry about that at all. I've done it too.

  • I dont know if i should get this or wait for the kindle fire. does this device allow you to download the kindle app

  • @TrentLedford I'd look into the Nook Tablet over the Kindle Fire.

  • @wowhornby the nook is pretty cool my friend has one i like it much better than the kindle.

  • you did awesome review and you are so pretty and beautiful.

  • @icexburn69 Thank you!

  • does it have sound

  • @lushgirl82 Yes. It has speakers and you can plug headphones into it.

  • Comment removed

  • I agree with her. Now she maybe exaggerating about the weight, but yea, if u wanna book reader then u want a nook. An ipad should be for kids in schools as learning tablets (my opinion).

  • Kindle sucks. Met ppl who have it and want a nook color as they play with the kindle like its the wrong present for christmas.

  • @designerzonly thats a dumb statement. "anything that can be rooted is a tablet." I dont think I bed to explain why, it just is.

  • Sorry, but the Nook Color is a tablet. Cnet even said it was and so did B&N. Anything that can be rooted can be considered a tablet.

  • @DesignerzOnly I can respect that definition, and I understand, but considering I do nothing but read on it, it's an e-reader to me. Why does an e-reader have to be plain? Because kindle and sony had it so to begin with?

  • Is the Nook Color the best eReader? or is there something better?

  • @doyhom001 It is the best eReader if you want something more dynamic and colorful than the kindle. I love the nook color not only because it's a great device, but because it does what I need it to do: hold lots of books, play music, surf the net/email.

  • you are super cute, but now-a-days its better to root the nook and have full android market place access. just sayen'

  • @wotanziet4 This is true. These devices have a lot of potential after you get them in the market. Thanks.

  • I love u

  • Youre so beautiful:)

  • @QuinnsTheBest Thank you!

  • ha ha ha... the dog xD

  • if you didnt want an ipad or tablet, why didnt you just buy an actual ereader, instead you bought a tablet primarily made for ereading, actual ereaders are lighter, e ink is less stressful to the eyes, and the battery lasts way longer

  • @jonnyj210 It is an ereader. I didn't want an e-ink device. The Nook Color is much more interactive and dynamic. Don't like it? It amazes me that after almost a month of release, people are still freaking out about this device's "hybrid" classification. Get over it.

  • this is the best review out of the others cause its liketelling you what this thing can actually do!

  • @kjfirework1 thank you!

  • LMFAOOOOOOOO biscep curls!!! oh my jesus

  • u r so hot

  • By the way, in comparison to the iPad 2: it's significantly slower and less responsive, it's much heavier per screen real-estate, it's much cheaper feeling, it's much smaller, it's much less functional, it has a much smaller capacity. It is $250 for a reason... it's inferior. Nothing against it, but you get what you pay for. That's how the world works. So stop trying to say it's better than the iPad. My Toyota Corolla isn't better than an Aston Marton, and I'm ok with that.

  • You simply talk about the faults of the Nook and say that you like them!! It's heavy but you like it that way? It lacks 3G but you prefer it without 3G? That's simply unintelligent! It's not intended to be an iPad, and you're happy that it does less? Unbelievable!! That's just another way of saying that it's inferior to the iPad but you like inferiority!! We're happy for your purchase, so just cut out the irrational self-justification! It's fine for $250, but it's no iPad.

  • @thinsomestone I love this device for what it does, not for what it does not do. I gave a review making sure that the components that Apple fanboys were attacking the device for lacking would be clear. It is an e-reader and it is awesome.

  • O My GOODNESS you face is soooo sexy!!!!!!!!! And yup the nook is very sleek. What's very cool also is that it can be rooted this way you've a book reader and tablet all in one.

  • @marvininniss thanks!

  • ok i am so sorry about the nook it is awesome but tablets are more awesome but i want a nook too im maybe a hypocrit but u no i was not thinking!

  • ipads are more awesome than stupid e readers, you could of done a better job

  • @ondrayis1 E-readers are not stupid.

  • @ondrayis1 not everyone has 500 dollars to spend on an ipad and not everyone wants to de bothered with the millions of apps the ipad has. this is mainly for people who want a device that is made for reading and reading only. but yes ipads r nice. :)

  • @ondrayis1 You know what is interesting? The more I have my nook, the less I like Apple and the way it treats its customers. The Made in China and other corporate nonsense is to be expected, but I'm impressed with how much this device is capable of. Apple waters things down too much. I do have an iPhone, which I love, but I am not averse to going over to droid one day.

  • I'm very attracted to you

  • What a lovely girl, and SUCH a sweet n sexy voice - a pleasure to listen to *and* look at :) xx

  • @unlokia Thank you!

  • are you planning on getting the new nook touch from barnes and nobles?

  • @indaydako No. I am not really motivated to spend money with BN at the time on anything other than e-books I love. See my recent vent video if you are interested. I also like my Nook Color enough to stay away from e-ink, but it looks really nice.

  • btw ur criticism is very similar too mines. If i was you do to the fact that u wanted a light reader dan u should of got a kindle. I have the kindle 3g it is perfect it lasts up to a 9 days with the wifi turned on..turned off is like almost a month. But i just like the way the Nook color looks. But if u dont mind having no apps nd all u want is to do is read dan get the Kindle 3g. REPLY WITH YOUR FAVORITE BOOK PLZ. im tryin to get some good books.

  • I totally understand what you're saying. I guess I like the option of having a browser and wi-fi. I also like the BN bookstore/Shop through the nook color. It's not as boring as the e-ink readers, but jazzy enough for my taste. I hope that makes sense. I like the photos I can put on it too, as with PDFs, which show up in color in cases where you have different text colors going on in a document. For reading: do you like mysteries? I love love love Carlos Ruiz Zafon: The Midnight Palace

  • @wowhornby Yeahh i understand what ur saying..but the reason i got the kindle is because i am easily distracted (no i dont have ADD :D). Nd i fucken love dat book I read it a couple weeks ago..

  • I loved your review! I'm reccomending a series called the Warriors series. The first book is "Into the Wild". I don't know what kind of books you like, but I was freakin hooked! I just got done reading the newest book and it was amazing. I actually wrote a book review on the book at bn.com under the username Spottedleaf95.

  • @biologygeek1234 Thank you for reccommending the Warriors series. I'm going to check it out. I also use the bn site a lot, so I appreciate the review. Thanks for watching my video !!

  • maximum ride

  • i was obsessing too and i still dont have it

  • when your reading you can hold down on a word and et the definition

  • Anytime beautiful !! 

  • Nice nook, and girl!!

  • @VANDAGOAT Aw thank you :)

  • Nice, factual and informative video. As insane as this sounds, my favorite moment was when the dog wandered into the background! Added authenticity.

  • @meximm Thanks! My dog always pops up during videos.

  • Hey, thanks for the honest review. I read a lot but went for an iPad because I like the UI but definitely thinking of a nook for when I need something smaller. At $200-249 you can't go wrong.

*ps. Use more light when taping so your cam doesn't keep changing from light to dark. Just a tip.

  • @josefarmen Sorry about the lighting. I agree with you about pricing. The iPad costs more because so many other utilities are available: Cameras, etc.. I think there's room for all kinds of tablets/readers. No reason to have a war LOL. However, the new update allows for email and gaming. Interesting.

  • @wowhornby

    Thx alot

  • @wowhornby

thanks for the reply & i guess i'll go for the nook but one more question though, i already have some e-books in PDF format so can i transfer these e-books to the nook?

  • @mescaline206 Yes you can transfer PDF and other video/image files. It's really easy. Good luck!

  • Does it cause any strain to the eyes cause thats one of the major points that made me confused between this & the amazon kindle bearing in mind that i already have an ipad which strains my eyes after a while

  • @mescaline206 Any kind of reading will strain your eyes. The iPad is the most offensive to the eyes. While the nook will hurt your eyes after several hours, you are FAR better off with the nook than the iPad. I have read 4 hours at a time and I was OK. I hope this helps!

  • Hahaha! good review .Good little chat .... Hey forgot to talk about cost really resonable cost right 250 $ .If you have a coupon you can get 50$ off ...So, for 200$ pretty good for nook color because same capitative ipad Display . and internal memory be 2gig but still up to 32gig microSD which is not that costly .Thats another pluse point with micro USB good option . Good job you can still improve plan before you speek "Doing something is good than doing nothing "

  • i just masturbated to you

  • You are very pretty!

  • their is going to be more distractions on the nook because of the new app store that barns n noble is putting in but that makes it more like a tablet than just an e reader

  • Your hair......omg.......

  • Hi i just purchased the nook color and have a question for you. When you glide over the volume buttons is there a slight movement to the button or is it as solid as the power button for you?

  • @candyevelynn slight movement. not much. if yours is moving a lot, return it.

  • Thank you. I have been looking at some reviews and i think im gonna go out and buy it. Thanx:)

  • @logosrule enjoy !

  • Most unhelpful and uninformative review I have viewed so far.

  • Is The Divine Comedy as good as people say? It's the first pdf ebook I got, but I've been putting it off to study.

  • Im torn between this and the kindle... seems like when you start talking about the iPad around 2:30, you should have gotten a kindle since the nook can browse the web and stuff also. So why didnt you?

I agree that if I'm buying an eReader I don't want to be distracted by all of the bells and whistles, but if I buy the kindle and I need to browse the web for a quick second before class, I'm going to really wish I bought the nook color.

  • @oc09fsu

I love my NC. I personally prefer the backlit page over the e-ink. I have used both devices. My father-in-law and Sister-In-Law both have kindles and I wasn't a fan of the screen. I use mine a lot at night, I love that I can change the screen to black background w/white writing, my eyes don't strain as much reading at night. I strongly suggest you try both of them out before deciding... Either by going to a store that has both of them, such as a best buy.

  • has anyone updated the new update? my nook freezes all the time.

  • OMG! Read The Hunger Games!

  • I'm planning on getting one this summer. I can't wait! How's battery life?

  • @cooljerry127

I would say around 7-8 hours. I try to charge mine every night. It's a bit longer if you turn the wi-fi off when not in use.

  • Are you serious? You buy a device that burns your eyes just to read? Plain ridiculous. Buy a book if you want to read. Anything else is fashion crap. And in particular the Nook Color is awful to your eyes. If you got the monochrome one I might believe you a little bit. And don't paint your nails girl (specially in whore-red). Looks cheap and ugly. Or worse.

  • @9000kms

You can change the screen settings on the nook color... to black w/white type, gray w/white type, etc.. change the brightness, font a, it's a great e-reader!! I've never had any problem w/it burning my eyes and I use it almost daily.

And I'm not sure why you think attacking her choice of nail polish is relevant to anything. I'm pretty sure it's her choice to paint her nails whatever color she wishes to. RUDE!

  • @goddss6 Because she is uploading a public video to the internet to be seen and commented by the whole world just for her ego, so I attack whatever I want to. And that includes you, pathetic retard. Whore-red nail color is fucking disgusting. Period. You probably use it too, don't you?

  • @9000kms Actually, your comment isn't really about the Nook or me, and I feel really sorry for you. You don't seem like a very happy person.

  • @wowhornby But you do seem like a prostitute with red nails with a stupid eye-burner device trying to be popular.

  • @9000kms You are obsessed with prostitutes, huh? I feel really sorry for you. You're always welcome to watch my videos. Thanks.

  • @9000kms So i guess people arent allowed to have opinions.

  • it weighs less than 1lb.

  • heavy? its lighter than most books. definitely lighter than the thousands of books that it holds... and... its at your finger tips... in your own words... "get over it"

  • @JacobCain86 It's a legitimate criticism. It's not like she said "It's so heavy I can't use it." I'm a big strong man, and I do find the weight and hard edges cause some discomfort in long reading sessions. I'm hoping a plush case (hopefully arrives today) will even things out. It's no dealbreaker, but it is an area where the e-ink devices come out ahead.

  • @TheTaosaur nook color = 15.8lbs. less than 1lb is heavy if your reading comic books. the nook color can be rooted and turned into a full fledged e-reader therefor wowhornby's comment of " its not a tablet so get over it" is just as valid as my "it weighs more than oxygen."

  • @TheTaosaur btw, i faved a few vids from you a while ago... thanks for your vids... they helped me out alot... i actually found this vid from viewing one of yours.

  • whatever

  • I love the dog in the background drinking the water! LOL that was pretty funny!........Great review though!

  • @MrCold940 Thank you!

  • hey my name is redsmilez n i want to know if the nook color can load school books? can u plz find out for me cause im try to get one n im in school but dont want to carry all the big books

  • root it

    =)

  • iluvu

  • i wish i could marry her

  • I am 25 yrs old and never own this type of device before. I'm torn between IPAD or this Nook. Do you need antivirus softare on these type of device like you would have on your computer? How about battery life? How long can it last? Also, have you use this on flights like while up in the air? Thanks!!!

  • @MarkCEO09 I know you're asking the video uploader these questions, but I wanted to give them a try. :]

You don't need an antivirus software for the Nook Color, as far as I'm concerned. The battery life will last up to about 8 hours, at least, when the wifi is turned off. It really depends on how much time you use with certain features. And I haven't tried my NC on a plane (yet), but I'm pretty sure it follows the same rules with the computers; turn off wifi at certain times and such. :]

  • @MarkCEO09 Hey! You do not need any antivirus. The battery lasts about 7 hours, but I charge mine each night. You can use it in flight.

  • Hey, you know, you can turn this into a tablet right? look at my video.

  • I have been thinking buying a Nook color just to read color comics (I have kindle 3 for books and B/W comics), but it's too heavy for me and I really don't want to charge the battery every 1-2 days. I guess I am spoiled by kindle 3.

  • I still think it's a waste of money, you can be distracted just as easily as on an iPhone or on the iPad since it connects to the internet. Alright, it's cheaper than them and it's a more convenient size for reading, but why waste your money if you can get an actual ebook reader (with an eink display) for a lot cheaper!

  • I've order mine and waiting for it to come in. I still fail to see why people don't see it as a tablet when you can do so much. Even more so when you root it.

  • 3:40 <3 dog drinking water...

  • Mod it with cyanogen. It has the same internals as a galaxy s tab. I love mine now that it runs android 2.3

  • i wonder can you borrow library ebooks with your nook? thanx

  • @drkanbar Yes yes you can and it's actually a great alternative to buying these expensive books. You can download .epub (ebook) files from the library and after downloading to your computer, drag and drop it in your book folder when you connect your nook to your computer via usb.

  • I never seen a chick give a tech review.cool.all the teck dudes r like wow! Lol

  • you are such a hottie

  • Good honest user feedback review. I enjoyed listening to this immensely. Enjoy that Nook. It makes reading fun again!

  • @stmpoodle It really has made reading easier and more fun. I also love that my shelves are not exploding each time I get a new book.

  • Is the liitle n on the bottom an actual button or is it touch? Thanks.

  • @dodadippittydo It's an actual button. It's just like the home button on the ipod/iphone.

  • @wowhornby Okay, thanks for replying (:

  • 3:37-4:00 (:

  • Oh I like the idea that you are reading Dante but then if you go outside in the sun or the water is nearby where you can hear the babbling pook and take a book a real book that you can lift and hold with real pages and the tactile sense of all that. Reading is not something that has to be done with an electronic gadget as its another computer screen and if you drop it or lose it then what? Wi Fi is not reliable. Lift weights then have fun.

  • @Pianoantics yea yea and music is just for vinyl.
