  • I like the Heritage paint job on #145, I kind of wish that all of the locomotives would be painted in that paint scheme.

  • Great video, Im surprised you were able to get as much video as you did..How fast does Amtrak run thru Al.? The Eagle 21,22 runs 70-80 MPH thru Tx..

  • @judyasisk NS timetable speed for passenger trains on the Alabama Division is 79 mph, with restrictions. However virtually the entire line has restrictions, due to turnouts, grade crossings, curves, etc. Usually they average about 50 mph. But, for instance, as they near Cook Springs westbound, for 2 miles the speed restriction is 30-35 mph for sharp curves and a tunnel. Thus I know I can catch back up via I-20 at Cook Springs. Same thing at Norris Jct, passing Norris Yard (15 mph restriction).
