wow! you paid 200 bucks for that bounce board? I have one the same size in semi-rectangle that cost me 40 bucks. It also has a 'jacket' so it has 5 or 6 different colors (gold, silver, white, reflective white, off white). Still, poster board is the way to go. I find it actually gives better results sometimes because it is rigid and can be handled more easily by casual helpers.

The only advantage of a flexy one is portability.

PS. that "let it snow/rain" stuff is OFF THE HOOK! sweet.

Bet your pissed that you speat 200 dollars on a bounce board when you could have just raided a Protest party and snatched some poster boards.

Seriously though, were you like. "WTF?" When you saw that The results of the experiment showed there wasn't much differance between using a Poster board and the 200 dollar over priced one?

Is the 200 dollar Bounce board light as a feather compared to the poster board, and is that the reason why its so dam expensive.

It is much lighter. It also has come extra skins to be able to use it as a shinny board as well. But I typically use it as a soft bounce... so yeah.. I was like WTF! haha.

What is it that bounce boards do anyways? Do they just reflect light onto the set so it has better lighting?

@Jirue7609 yeah, exactly that. It's like a giant mirror, but the light is much softer than if you used an actual mirror. Haha.

Most illumination will come from above (especially if you're primarily working with natural light). A bounce board will fill in some of the shadows you'd get otherwise by bouncing light from below, without having to have a light down there :-)
