Basically its respect for Jesus Christ and all that He's done for us and showing how fools think they can sell the word of God and the Light of Christ to people for self-profit. They do what they want and not what the Lord wants. And also its poking fun at the Catholics when they used to sell indulgences.

That's what I said. Mathias has been in a Christian play (not that that assuredly makes him Christian. And Stefan writes the music and lyrics, not Mathias. Here's a quote from Stefan: "It's not like I'm trying to give people my views or anything it was just a part of the history. Some bands try to jam everything evil and bad into the lyrics and it comes out sounding very phony." Most of the songs are speaking out against the Catholics. WTF are you on?

Another band, Blind Guardian and my personal heroes of music have clean vocals although they do use a lot of harmony... They're latest album is a good example of that though: A Twist in the Myth.

Anyone heard of Dark Moor either? (Three cheers for virtually unheard of bands!)

Also do the last couple notes freak anyone out? I can always surprise my younger sister with them. :)

I know Blind Guardian and I'm not a huge fan. I like the first four songs on their new album but I feel the rest is rather lacking (and I kind of don't like the whole band singing together).

A new good one I found is Serenity, though. They're pretty awesome.
