@cptnphil That's Johnny Neel. He's been a member of The Allman Bros. (Seven Turns), written & performed with Gov't Mule (Life Before Insanity, and more...), X2 (with Matt Abts), and much more. Great musician.
This has got to be one of the most amazing performances I have ever heard with such a diverse group of musicians. Absolutley beautiful. I can't beleive it only has a little over 1800 views. Great song, killer performance. Its all about the love. RIP Woody. You are missed.
I recorded him with Blue Floyd. Look over my channel's contents. I have more of that coming. I'd like to know how he died. Didn't ever hear much at all
@MuleLover2 I'm not astute on drugs, that is what was his downfall? Shame, real shame. Glad I got to see him live... I got Allman's at Woodstock 94 of course, as I recall, he was there too
@MuleLover2 I believe it was a drug overdose, thought I heard heroin. Warren has alluded to it in one or two interviews I've heard. Don't quote me on the heroin though.
@cm0220ster Can you point me to an interview where Warren has "alluded" to this? Post a link, or give ANY source info. Please. I'm interested in seeing that...
i was at this show as well! All 7 hours on my feet but who cares..Allmans, Crowes and Mule- a very fitting tribute to a great musician...thanks for the music Allen, you are missed!

@MetallicBill
Well in the papers and on the news they said Woody had been found dead in his Queens hotel room dead of a heart attack.
I saw him the month before he passed and he was searching for what probably killed him if you know what I mean.
