Vipers are awesome until you drive in one for more than an hour. My whole body was sore after driving for two hours to Jersey from Long Island. It was the most uncomfortable car I've ever been in. I drove my Corvette from L.I to Vegas & back again with no problem at all. I'm looking foward to the same trip again next winter. I also averaged 27 mpg that trip but, I was getting over 30 on the highway. Corvette's are super fast, comfortable, get great mpg & the insurance is inexpensive.

I got a job at 16 and bought a camaro and at 18 i got a better job and purchased a second car which is a 94 vette and now at age 20 i still have both of those cars plus a 02 z06 with a magnuson supercharger. yong people can have good jobs and buy nice cars also. its not impossible.

I did the same thing and got a job at 15and I saved until my junior year and I bought a 2001 bright red immaculate mustang gt, yet everyone at my high school said "it must be nice when parents buy you a nice ass car" little did they know I paid with my own sweat for it :D now I'm in college and the next car I'm working towards is a C5 Z06 which I will hopefully have in a year or 2

@kroll52 A bone stock C5 Z06 with only a supercharger typically sees 550rwhp. Start throwing in a blower cam, ported heads, headers, meth, and pullying down, and you can get over 700rwhp. In which case, say goodbye to the Camaro in your rear view mirror.

11.90 is not bad at all for a C5 Z06. But a C6 Z06 is capable of high 10's stock in the most ideal conditions.

FYI a stock c5 z06 is capable of running 11.7 stock everything including tires, and 11.5 with drag radials. Much less a supercharger. How do I know you ask? Because i own a vortech v3 c5 z06.

How can a stock C5 Z06 get 11.7 in the quarter when the C6 Z06 gets the quarter mile in 11.7? Now I know a C6 Z06 can do high 10's factory stock in the right conditions. Maybe the same goes for the C5 Z06.

My friend had an 02' Z06, he pulled 12.3 with an air intake mod only. He said 12.3 was factory quarter mile time on a C5Z.

Oh and I own a C6 myself.

That vid was not my car I did go 11.96@118 in this car on street tires with just a cat back 3 years ago at MIR in Maryland.
