She's a fantastic turner, but that song (especially the beginning) is extremely annoying! This video has more than a dash of tackiness to it, though I can understand wanting to take advantage of a particular talent and gain some fame through exploiting it. Well, from a physics perspective the closer your leg (and arms) are to the center, the faster you will spin. Probably why that style came to be so effective.

when she does just one pirouette or simple fouettés, she looks like "unexploded energy", it must be very difficult for her to control her spins and do just one turn as she gets immediately so much speed. I know people that do without any problem 5-6 pirouettes but for them is more matter of keeping the balance and being able to give few more "head turns"...

i agree with you there. her technique is not PERFECT as everyone says she is. Her foot is over crossed and when we do it in classes the teacher ripes our heads off. So i've never like that. I do think she has lots of energy though.

Dancers aren't required to be anorexic anymore.
