@Barbe Science Ninja Team Gatchaman was an anime from a long time ago. All five members had bird outfits. Ken the Eage, Joe the Condor, Jun the Swan, Jinpei the Swallow and Ryu the Owl. They were five who fought as one against the evil forces of Galactor. It has been brought to America four times as far a I know. First as Battle of the Planets, then as Eagle Riders and later G-Force. Finally ADV brought out Gatchaman in it's actual form, uncut. It is a real icon of the anime world.

I believe one of the creator's artist of DBZ were inspired of Gatchaman's costumes characters that in fact, they created their own costume disigns simulary from that anime. Instead they called The Great Saiyaman/woman. After all, Gatchaman is an old anime that debut around the 70's, while later DB debut in mid 80's & DBZ debut in the late 80's from Japan. So yeah I guess The Great Saiyaman/woman are tribute for Gatchaman's fans.... Don't u think? o_o(well... that in my opinion)

@kingvideo4u, Yeah well... my guess is , it "could" be the same artist's team who work disign of Gatchaman and join DBZGT's team years later, or they must be fans of Gatchaman since they were inspired by this classic anime, so they got their idea and make their own disign similar to Gatchaman, but more diffrent (not sure if it's better than...). Instead the called "The Great Saiyanman/woman" They must'd made a tribute for Gatchaman...

@kingvideo4u, By seen The Saiyaman/woman in DBZ that make me want to watch Gatchaman, it will be my first time seeing it. I want to know what is this fuzz about? I like to know why is so popular? I think I heard Gatchaman is one of most important anime in history, before watching they rest other anime in near future....is best to first watch Gatchaman....

btw, I heard Jun that she is kind of hot attractive, even back in the 70's. Is too bad she not real. -_-
