  • Why is embedding disabled?

  • every once and a while, when i look down at my dick, i hear patrick's voice in my head going, "the tasteful thickness of it" and i giggle a little

  • There was a Vistaprint business card ad before this video

  • @RusconiDom Well the whole point is to assume they happened, because the audience is carried by the observations of the protagonist.

  • if you look closely at bat(e)man's card. you will see in small lettering "check 'em"

  • Something wrong Patrick ? your sweating ??

  • " Whats that ? a gram ?? " 4 second mark ..

  • @XRealDealJDX he meant cocaine

  • They all have the same phone number O.o

  • Makes me think thank since they are all vice presidents which i dno how that is possible but, these are characters that bateman created??? i dno

  • DAMN YOU PAUL ALLEN FOR HAVING SUCH MAGNIFICENT TASTE!

  • 1:12 continuity of action FAIL

  • the two dislikes are patrick bateman.

  • absolutely loved this movie and this scene, the characters are so self-absorbed and homogeneous.

Though there's one thing I don't understand, they all work for Pierce & Pierce and they're ALL Vice Presidents?? Just how many vice presidents can there be?

  • @DxHuman It's not unusual to see multiple, or dozens, of vice presidents at a firm. Frequently vice presidents will associated with functions, divisions or regions within a company. For example, the VP of Marketing, or the VP of Sales in Europe, Middle East and Africa. For investment banks (like the one in this movie) or consulting firms, the VP position might be more of a general level in the hierarchy with responsibilities that aren't as clearly confined to one aspect of the organization.

  • i'd just use them for filters

  • hehehe

  • The typography @ 1:16 is terrible – "P aul ALLEN" ?

  • @ricadus at 0:09 "Patrick BATEMAN" also

  • @ricadus pay attention to the other cards, its the same on those -> Patrick BATEMAN, David VAN PATTEN, Timothy BRYCE

but AFAIK, its normal that the last name is written completely in capital letters, while the first name only starts with a capital letter and continues with lower case letters (or in this case, capital letters in a smaller font size)

  • @ricadus lack of kerning makes me sad :(

  • Patrick BATeMAN

  • i can feel the tension building

  • I had to laugh so hard when he dropped that card

  • "that's BONE"...fkn GENIUS. Love this flick \m/

  • So funny! I just noticed that there's a typo on ALL of their business cards: "Aquisitions!" Good grief...

  • the one dislike is Pat Bateman

  • losers

  • I love the subtle music interlude when the fourth card is shown, makes it seem as important as it seems through Bateman's eyes ;)

  • he looks like he wants to punch somebody at 1:32

  • no he kills him

  • you guys gotta check out the shot fro shot spoof of this scene called "american shitter"

  • Why would you spoof something that's already a good comedy? That's dumb.

  • Apparently the consensus is that he has a psychological disorder and did not actually commit any murders; however i believe that he did commit the murders and because of wall streets reliance on social engineering, nobody reprimanded him for any behavior because they are more worried about maintaining an image of perfection on and of wall street; this coupled with the physical characteristics of everyone (i.e. everyone looks the same) allowed him to get away with murder.

  • crime and punishment gone very wrong!

  • his whole killing spree starts because this guy has a better card .... lol

  • @Sovietbrad No, that's not true at all. He's been a psycho since Harvard, according to the book.

  • mm Christian Bale mm, love his American accent

  • Like this? Read the book - it's 100 times better than the film!

  • He is soooo hot! I love Christian Bale.

  • ROTFL I love this movie

  • excellent...scary and funny at the same time

  • Oh my God... It even has a watermark! HAHAHA damn that is possibly the funniest thing I've seen in a long time

  • lol, they all have the same haircuts, reading glasses, business cards, it gives new levels to the phrase "i would kill to fit in".

  • Hahahaha!!

  • Thats the whole point of the film/book. It's a critique of that whole business culture. How people aspire to....banality to fit it. The whole "clone in a suit" thing taken to its extreme.

Ultimately, thats why Bateman kills. He's sickened by the mediocrity that surrounds him in the most extreme way.
