  • Im colombian, and I love Colombia and I love the USA, but I hate how people says ColUmbia when our country is ColOmbia, and by the way don't pay attention to the comments of colombian people that says that president Uribe sucks and the USA sucks, they might be communists or socialists, you know here most of the socialists and communist are the poor people.

  • The states should be smarter! Colombia is one of the fews friends they have in Latinoamerica! Not approving the TLC is like closing that friendship forever!

  • yyyy fuera!!! yyyy fuera!!! yyyyyyy fuera!!!jejej se acabo!!! fuera!!!! shora falta uribe yyyfuera uribe yyyyfuera y fuera!!!

  • Free trade allows the US to manipulate country leaders into selling their resources and products for a fraction of what they are worth.

They get world leaders to sign loans that they cannot repay. And then thats how they get resources cheap.

  • What is certain, is that you didnt. He also taught at oxford. Hows community college working out for you???

  • Wow!, will get tax free coke and marijuana... Congress must pass the bill ASAP...

  • ignorant.

  • I have an idea! Put this to a vote of the Colombian people...I grantee they're against it 90%. What a sick, sick man Bush is...

  • Ok hello mr 10% nice to meet you!!!!

  • well actually is 82% if u see the last Gallup poll, nice to meet u

  • 82 per cent of respondents in four cities approve of Uribes performance. Not of so called free trade.

  • 82% support Uribe's policies (being FTA one of the most important); I want to see your awesome reasoning, how yow turn that 82% in to 10%

  • yo no se ingles pero de este malaparido no se puede esperar nada bueno...lastima lo que le estan haciendo a colombia ..mi pais esta siendo vendido perramante a estos barbaros

  • @raul20r3 America are barbarians? HAHA, look at your own nation before talking. A poor, dirty shithole filled with drug dealers and criminals.

  • 'alvaro uribe: triste peon del imperio norte americano'

  • because the american economy is doing great lol amirite?

  • Good for the economy? Producing exports? Columbia has a history of violence against union leaders. If we open trade with Columbia, it will be another source of cheap labor and the "exports" will be those jobs that have, as of yet, survived outsourcing. Yes, this would be good for the large corporations that make up a majority of our economy, but it would be devastating to the workforce. As with many of Bush's policies, it will benefit those who have the most and screw the middle class.

  • First of all, it's Colombia with an O. Second, there has been a truly considerable reduction in the violence against union leaders under the Uribe administration. Third, it's in the United States' best interest to have Colombia as an ally because communism is crawling all over South America and it's something the U.S. has to keep an eye on.

  • I am glad to hear that the violence against union leaders has subsided. Maybe they can work to bring you better work conditions and a higher minimum wage. The problem still stands that the corporations will treat you as a source of cheap labor and screw us in the process. Now with foreclosures higher than they've ever been, unemployment up, and the our financial system in crisis the last thing we need is to lose more jobs to outsourcing.

  • The number of jobs outsourced to Colombia will be tiny in comparison to the benefit it will have on the security of the USA by keeping a happy ally in a region where communism is uprising. I think it's worth it.

  • the FARC are just drug dealers, communism is their excuse

  • lol, this asshole don't even know the name of the country and is talking bullshit

  • What the hell are you talking about? I know what country we are talking about. I am not one of those dumb ass Americans that can't even point out China on a map. Don't insult my intelligence that would be a mistake.

  • I see mr colUmbia!

  • OK, I guess you have never been typing and misspelled a word. Great case for me being an idiot. Congratulations.

  • lol, misspelled? how many times in the same sentence? u r an idiot, but any way u r a funny guy

  • hahahaha I love how president Uribe speaks english! Really funny

  • He wants to make it easier for some friend of government to import and export cocaine. Economic interests for sure. It is the really big untraceable bucks where no records are kept and no taxes are paid. It has to be government thought since they have the big guns and other technology to do the job. You have to read between the lines on these things. Commander in Chief of illegal imports.

  • to quote the band Dope:

    "Die motherfucker die motherfucker die"

  • porky pig for president!

  • Is he talking about the cocaine industry?

Please stop talking in public for the next 4 months.

  • bla bla bla...

  • haha free trade with columbia will never happen you white fuker

  • sigh
