Since most of us EAT animals in order to sustain ourselves, I see nothing wrong with what this man is doing by removing the snakes' fangs and using them as an attraction to earn himself money and so sustain himself.

One way to tell if the snake is void of venom - If you look closely at the snake's head at around 1:19 into the clip, you can see the large dent in the Cobra's head which in most normal Cobras the head is filled out and actually protrudes there. The reasons these have the large dents is because the venom glands have been removed, thus leaving the snake with no way to produce venom. This is not only cruel but also eventually leads to the snakes death, and many actually die from infection as well.

they should have to pay the expense of having a chunk of dry ice at all times carrying the antivenom for your snake. i mean its not too hard for someone who knows how to handle their snakes to milk them right before a show. they just need to bring it somewhere to convert. simple stock management amirite?
This guy was already dead. The snake bit at the head. The poison rapidly ran through the blood vessel. Within 15 minutes his heart arrested and die. Serum is not fast enough.
Often times, the snake "charmers" will sew the mouths closed on the snakes before a performance. They cut the thread holding the snake's mouth to feed the snake ever few days, then they resew the mouth closed. This is cruelty.
@Commonwealth96 snakes don't need to chew on food, they just swallow it... their body does the rest, decomposing and processing... haven't you seen a snake eat a mouse? ^^
People who never been India can't understand anything about this.. May be the poison fangs of the snakes in this video are removed, but that is not the case always. In India, snakes also considered as a divine creation among other creatures. Indians worship, sun, soil, sea, snake and a thousand others... We considered all creatures have equal rights in this world. But I do agree, there could be some exceptions as everywhere else.

It is not only the fangs removed, but also the whole mouth is stitched, except a little hole in the front so the snakes can show their tonges. It's a horrible act of cruelty and the reptiles often die few months after being captured.
i know this guy his name in Shamsudeen......he is very professional..and his snakes are seen in some of the malayalam movies......i saw his interview once...& he is a nice guy
if the snakes fangs are removed they will grow more. its not the fangs they take out its the venom glands. when u remove snakes venom glands they are harmless so he is in no real danger. however i am against snake charming in general because i think it is abusive to the animals. by the way if anyone is interested snakes with out venom glands are called venomoids if u would like to learn more

@suvojitbanerjee1977 the fangs arent removed for that could kill the snake. actually they remove the venom. a snakes bite is not painful and so they dont care as much if the venom is removed. yes they should keep from antagonizing the snakes but playing with a snake is fine. snakes love to be social. i own snakes and they love being around people. they've never bitten me or even hissed.

These days it is understood that you can "charm" snakes without music, but simply by waving your knee or hand around. The music is generally just to make it more of a show.
the objective is to charm the snakes, and show the power of hypnosis, if they are sewn they are sewn. but sure don't go out into the wild and do something stupid unless you are skilled at trying to sew the mouths of them for some charm experiment. I think the point is to keep them sewn, it is irrelevant. Whats relevant is his charming technique.
The Fangs on these guys are removed.. Or their mouth is sewn shut.. Dare this guy do it in the Cobra's natural habitat... He would be dead in as less as 15 minutes... Thats not at all BOLD... He should go and watch Austin Stevens...
it gives a misunderstanding to the auditorium, that they could do the same, that nothing will happen if (when) the meet the same dangerous animal in nature. this confuses the senses of the people. it's like Superman - many guys died coz they've deluded that "man can fly" ?! Stupid isn't it ?
Did you see the snakes open their mouths at all? No! Because their mouths are probably sewn or clipped shut. Even with no fangs they can open their mouths. These guys are fakes!
They continue to pull the fangs when they grow because snakes grow new ones. But more importantly, they rip out (yes rip!!!) the venom sacs. I saw on several trips to India that they get nicked often by the broken fangs and the small teeth. Charmers have scars all over the backs of their hands and even on their faces because of this. And even knowing this it still scared the (bleep) out of me to see this up close and personal!

With all beautiful birds and animals getting extinct honestly would not mind it if a few venom spitting slithery creeping in dust creatures vanished and the idiocy to keep it in baskets.fangs removed or not letting ignorance dominate....saw onyoutube an infant girl struck several times .. placed in front of cobra by illiterate parents who perhaps do not know how the baby arrived in their life....what responsability to God given life?Where is the maternal or parental instinct given by nature?

@suvojitbanerjee1977 the fangs arent removed for that could kill the snake. actually they remove the venom. a snakes bite is not painful and so they dont care as much if the venom is removed. yes they should keep from antagonizing the snakes but playing with a snake is fine. snakes love to be social. i own snakes and they love being around people. they've never bitten me or even hissed.

@suvojitbanerjee1977 That is true, and I agree. There is a horrible video of a de-fanged cobra trying to bite a baby somewhere on you-tube. People are screwed up. Taking the fangs out of a cobra is a death sentence to the animal, one might imagine, if it ever returns to the wild.0

@ShittakeWarriors It's not really known whether snakes pick up the vibrations from the wind instruments snake charmers use, but it is possible. These days it is understood that you can "charm" snakes without music, but simply by waving your knee or hand around. The music is generally just to make it more of a show.

the objective is to charm the snakes, and show the power of hypnosis, if they are sewn they are sewn. but sure don't go out into the wild and do something stupid unless you are skilled at trying to sew the mouths of them for some charm experiment. I think the point is to keep them sewn, it is irrelevant. Whats relevant is his charming technique.

The Fangs on these guys are removed.. Or their mouth is sewn shut.. Dare this guy do it in the Cobra's natural habitat... He would be dead in as less as 15 minutes... Thats not at all BOLD... He should go and watch Austin Stevens...

this guy is looking for trouble. we know snakes (cobras) doesn't always bite wit poison. in fact most of the cases they just bite, but without venom.
in this case 0:41 he got a bite, but perhaps with no venom.
even so, it's dangerous to play with wild animals.

Did you see the snakes open their mouths at all? No! Because their mouths are probably sewn or clipped shut. Even with no fangs they can open their mouths. These guys are fakes!

They continue to pull the fangs when they grow because snakes grow new ones. But more importantly, they rip out (yes rip!!!) the venom sacs. I saw on several trips to India that they get nicked often by the broken fangs and the small teeth. Charmers have scars all over the backs of their hands and even on their faces because of this. And even knowing this it still scared the (bleep) out of me to see this up close and personal!
