@Rippsta99 Depends on where you buy it. Basicly you need a notebook and Native Instrumens machine (wich is the Controller + Software). Check your local Music Gear Shop for pricing.
@laralawless - The Mashine it's self is like a midi controller... The samples are on the Native Instruments software program! The reason why this is being heavily favored is because the software is sync with the hardware each control is related to the program! You could have a program like FL Studio with just a stand Midi trigger pad controller but they just seem to hard and limited to get them to do what it is you want them too. So you will need a computer plenty of hard drive space.
@laralawless - A decent processor and a decent sound card or audio interface. Obviously some monitors (Speakers) and your good to go ; ) but it's around $700 for it so make sure you have your head around music production or you'll end up using it as a door stop!
@m1ndsurf3r hey i was wondering how do u add samples to maschine, do u have to use a turntable or wat? im trying to get samples for mine but i dont have a turntable? is there any other ways.
@javere21 maschine is basicly a software with a controller. You can add your own sounds by dragging wav files etc into the maschine window on your computer or you can record live what you send into your soundcard. maschine is not a audio hardware. you allways need a soundcard. maschine will use your soundcard inputs then..
I also have the maschine. Excellent piece! But can you maybe explain and show exactly how to make a fully song? Is there a detailed explanation? cos i create a loop pretty fast, but neet intro, variations, breaks and outro for a complete song. how can I make that easily?
Yes! Right! Do you have also the Problem while Playing the maschine and switch the grous that the Maschine Software crashes? Should I only mute them not switch?
Final? I have the latest downloadable version. Is it not Final??? I also have an Imac, but now all stable to make music. So why step to mac :-) Do you have the beta installed? I have XP
Yep, Native Instruments was sending out emails for beta participation. It's a public beta so you still can join the beta program. Check the NI Website and Support Forums for Details

Lucky me :) My maschine never crashed so far.
I'm on a windows vista laptop. I 've heard of problems on macs.
Do you take part in the current beta program?
The Beta runs alot smoother already.
There will be a new final software version very soon.
