I wonder which softwares allows to make animes? I know apple sell some but only for professionals(and for mac owners), too bad. Could photoshop suffice?

I tried with photoshop CS3, but the speed wasn't right. Not sure if it could be set to a faster FPS. I've been working on a anime series with macromedia flash, photoshop, and after effects. I also saw this guy using after effects for visual effects. I also heard production IG used after effects on the animated part for kill bill.

what's the name of the software your talking about for animating anime on mac?
