2nd gen. XB sales been way down ....they should of release the new BB model in US to keep the fan happy and add on the current 2nd XB as a diff model. The lack of Scion commercials in US doesn't help either.
@DJTEVAdotCOM i think sales else where in the us are low for the second gen but for the first intended target they have been great i live in CALI in LA and they are everywhere!!! damm bastards
@firedemon101 The second generation Scion xB is not based on the bB but was specifically designed by Toyota to appeal to American buyers, which was sold in Japan as Toyota Corolla Rumion.
I have the 2010 model in white. I am loving it. The model before it had an extremely bad side crash rating (you should look up the clip); and this new model made it to perfection. I would say...BUY IT!!!
I have an '09 Scion xB and it's a great car. Extremely roomy. More legroom in the back than a Honda Accord. It comes with a 2.4 liter and a 160hp engine. It's as quick as a Mazda 3 to 60mph.
I have one. If it doesn't have enough power for you then you need to just grow up or something. 158 HP is pretty damn good for a 4 cylinder. I used to have an '86 Corolla that had 60 hp.
wickedcolddotnet, why do I need to "grow up or something"? I just said that I heard from different sources like from magazines, owner feedback kinda stuff that it might not have as much power as they would've liked. No offence dude!! Like I said I own one too & I think it's a great car & I've changed the suspension, wheels, headlights, tail lamps, whole aero kit etc. I think it's a great car too.
that is half true. the 08 scion xb is indeed the Toyota Corolla Rumion. But the Rumion is NOT the Daihatsu Materia. the Daihatsu Materia is a slightly modified Toyota bB sold in other countries. So please do a little more research before telling someone to learn their stuff.
They are very reliable. JD Power doesn't know anything. Look at Consumer Reports, Consumer Guide, or any long-term tests done by magazines like Motor Trend. As a matter of fact, the Scion xD was rated the most reliable car for 2008.

That's no longer an xB, the actual 2nd-gen for it is the Corolla Rumion.

Corolla Rumion is much larger than the Bb

NO THE TC HAS 161 HP THE XB HAS 150 HP =)
Techolover21 2 years ago
That's wrong. It has 158hp and 160lb-ft of torque just like the TC does. Look it up. Exact same engine and specs.
xfistsclenchedx 2 years ago
oh yes ur right the xb does have 158 hp
the tc has 161... but both do have the same engine 2azfe but 3 hp difference not much
Techolover21 2 years ago
False, the tC has 161 hp and the xB has 158 hp. The use the same Camry 2.4 engine.

All the recent small Jap cars tested look fucking alike! And they rebound so much! A lot more than IIHS and EuroNCAP tests. Why is that?

Scions surprise me. They are so small, so cheap, tough so SAFE...

According to JD Power, they are not very reliable. Daihatsu "Coo"?! wtf?! Lol, they should have called it "cool"

Yup, coo! lol
