I switched from CBA to ANZ just over a year ago.. and everytime i visit a branch I come away a little better thanks to their advice. I have an access advantage account with tied-in Visa Debit abilities which is free as I'm a student so I save the $6.

For the past two weeks with my volunteer work, I have had to go to an ANZ, bank and compared to the Commonwealth Bank, the branch is a shoebox, there are only ever two tellers open, and the line goes back to the door.

Westpac have an account that has no fees but you need to move a minimum of $2000 through it each month.

I am an ANZ customer, I pay $6 a month. But unlike the person below me. ANZ ATMs are everywhere so I really dont care that I pay $6/month. I would rake up way more then that if I had a free bank account when you can never find there ATMs.....

this absolutely disgusts me as a bank worker... 99% of us are honest employees where we try to get the best deal for our customers- i hate paying bank fees so i understand that customers do and i will try and do whatever i can to help customers avoid them.. this coming from the bank who charges you to have that anz access advantage account- do yourselves a favour and look for a bank that doesn't charge you!!!
