the gunshots were the only thing i'd change. just take out the flash part.  it took away from the rest of the piece. i liked it. well done.

i only do vfx So yes i don't care what they say. I'm only interested in the Vfx they make on the vancour film school. I mean avatar is a good movie, but is it still good if they replace motion captering with blue puppets ? I don't think that would be great....

Establishing such a good story in a short film is really hard. Amazing work. would look highly professional if u edit that muzzle flash and the firing sound in the beginning of the scene.. great job!

the muzzle flashes werent really good aswell as the german accent.

I'm german and you definitely hear that they are from the states.

Very effective. Acting good, cinematography great, sound a little dogey at times ie. gunshots, car start at end was modern. Overall a very good period film.

Just looking at the gunshots, the muzzle flashes were poorly done, as well as the sound.

Otherwise, not a bad movie.

I have seen no record of Nazi officers in beards, full or Van Dyke. That blew the credibility out the window. The German soldier looked likewise unkempt. A clean Nazi is scarier than a dirty one. The film had a good look otherwise. Suddenly she is with the French underground? Or did she become so after she took up the quest with the letter? Lots to do in a short piece.

Loved the story and their acting was good as well. I thought the German officer's character was a bit too much like the German officer from Inglorious Basterds. I really like the line where she thanks his parents for his sacrifice.

The title is pretty sh*t though, sorry :P

there seemed to be a very deep a connection between the two after having met for such a short time. It was well made but just didnt click in the end. Good story but not for a short film

Yeah it can be quite hard to establish characters in 10 minutes and get the audience feeling that connection. I think the writer could have overcome that by starting the story so that the girl's character was also fleeing from someone and then they meet in the barn, with him injured. That way both of them would have had something in common and would have established a connection straight away.
