  • wow! nice infos.. interesting...

  • its good info but its sooooooooooo long

  • @MCP1579375 You sound like an asshole. Nothing wrong with being an asshole, if your mother is a slut and your father is a bastard.

  • Interesting albeit very biased upon preconceptions from small-minded people. But I guess this is the "culture" so it's helpful nonetheless. I have to admit the lecturer is pretty darn annoying.

  • I'm not sure that the value of "sloppy" and "good" and "bad" are very helpful for her presentation.

  • It seems to me that the interesting portion of her lecture begins at 6:00. Before that, she makes a lot of rather shallow and obvious remarks that doesn't really frame the heart of the lecture well.

  • Great Video. Very informative.

  • Good Information

  • give me a breax, haters, she loox just lixe the character in the Incredibles (the one that does all the outfits) so if you dont thinx this lady is genuine then you are crazy

i love it when people in movies become real, ie the research in movies is truthful in life

    deidra, clothing consultant, haha!

  • MOST ANNOYING PERSON EVER.

  • I hire anyone who shows up in jeans. They are normal and cool.

  • @blaspherion22 Anyone without a sweatervest.

  • this girl is the most annoying person to speak about clothing...............she makes me want to dress as a clown. what does she know..........she looks like an idiot

  • well other than thomas w. the clip was good. spoken w/this guy before and he is useless.......student affairs? he should be in some other profession........like student trash pick up

  • umm.. interviewers also pay attention to the qualities and values of the interviewee, not only to if their suit is stripy or not.

  • Her voice is amazingly annoying. As if she's dressing well.

  • I was there when she gave that speech, you don't wanna know how annoying it was to be in the live audience.

  • Let's jazz it up... wtf says that these days

  • This is beyond bad. I'm sorry. She screams, is ineloquent and doesn't dress well ... I would hate to see her in a job interview.

  • She lost me with "... a much more important topic than that (i.e: the election, the writers' strike)... clothing."

  • I can't imagine showing up in some hacker's lab with formal clothes on... I'm glad to be in computer science!

  • Whats with the accent?

  • She may be a good writer, but she commits the one deadly sin of a lecturer: she bores the audience.

  • 2 minutes into it, and I already don't like her

  • I only lasted 1m:10s! Her voice would peel paint.

  • I only lasted about the same amount of time. I don't think it was necessary to say that college students have bad taste and bad judgement. She should have just jumped to the advice. I recommend loosing the purple slides and showing so photos. Or maybe she does show photos, I just couldn't hang around long enough to find out.

  • There was some good advice in this lecture, however it felt very diluted with additions such as 'how college students have defined the sloppy look' and 'here is how they dressed'. It didn't feel necessary, and seemed to detract from the purpose of the lecture.

Additionally, it felt like a lot of the time was spent talking at the audience and giving personal opinion regarding fashion, with the exception of a few certain points during the lecture where actual advice was given.

  • I was not impressed with the tone or content of this presentation.

  • Isn't it interesting that the Tech jobs are lax on dress code? Hmmm... The people working in the most world changing and often highest paid fields, are not under the same standards as other jobs. Because their employers want results not snappy dressers, you would not tell Einstein to comb his hair. And the fact that this lecture is by some New York Fashionista with an elitist fashion opinion, makes me want to demand respect in an interview with force of personality and resume, not trinkets.
