The reason why China was allowed to become what it is today was, to give you the short and simple version, because they worked in manufacturing in factories (we have unions here and want to get paid much much more than them so businesses basically ship those jobs overseas) which brought in A LOT of money into their country and so they began putting emphasis on infrastructure, businesses, etc. which then led to investors putting money in their country

I have just get a new passport to replace my expired old one. I applied in Anhui, cost me RMB 220. (20 for the annotation of my old passport info on the new one).
The application procedure and fee are posted on the goverment wetsite.

You should try to get out of China and find a better life in another country. I know it won't be easy for you but you can do it with determination. Get a Chinese passport if you don't have one, then obtain a US student visa and go to school in US. You can apply for legal residency, work here, and have real freedom. There are many Americans in China; becomes friends with some and network. They can help you with ideas of how

@ljl0539 You mix up two things, immigrate to US and getting a passport. If you want to immigrate to US, you need to have money, particular for investment immigration. You can't immigrate to US because US government does not want to accept you, the US gov doesn;t want to accept you because you are not rich.
So don't blame china for not enabling you to immigrate to US.
Again, it cost 30USD to get a passport. It's harder to get a US visa, and Chinese gov doesn't issue US visa.
