Wouldn't a probe be much quicker and easier to use then an edge finder?

You can get an optional Renishaw tool & part probe on Hurco machines. But not everyone has a budget or can justify the additional cost so in lieu of the Renishaw option, the video shows the low tech way of finding part 0.
