i cant believe someone had the stupidity to come on here and attempt to judge someone for trying to makle a quick buck. you fucking assholes need to check yourselves, we aint living in the golden era or age or any fucking utopia. we are all struggling and surving and whoever has a problem with someone elses legit hustle needs to piss off.
im at CSL in Akron right now, gonna make some money bitches cuz thne baby needs diap;ers and juice until next thursday. i would never let myself run out of the essential things my daughter needs, so instead of risking criminal activity or having to stand in line at a "non-profit orginiztion" to beg for something they may or may not have, and size 3 diapers are a very popular size and io have been turned away from a Non profit, so i say god bless plasma donations. it gets me by in these shittimes
I would rather pick up cans on the side of the highway than go back to CSL plasma. Worst job I ever had. Baby sitting crackheads all day every day is the worst. Good stick in video though.
when i donated plasma it was my first time donating EVER! i wasnt even done with my first cycle before i passed out! but i'm doing it again next week! =]
hey, phelb, you gotta totally program the weight before the venipuncture stick, dumbass, s.o.p. says you gotta program the weight before the stick...ass clown
@thehuckabeem why would their be saliva on your gloves? I do not get my gloves anywhere near my face or hair!
We take every one's temperature with a probe and we take most the probes off by hand, because the release button on them gets stuck 90% of the time. So we have to touch the probe and pull it off.
I work for a plasma company... I have serious job security right now in this economy because people want MONEY!!! SO guess what, they come to a plasma center and willing GIVE us their plasma for cold hard cash cause a NON PROFIT gives you a damn t-shirt and a cookie!! hahaha NOBODY wants that right now!
And you if you think you are "donating" you are not, you are giving them your plasma which they turn into medications and make millions of dollars for. Go donate at a non profit organization if you want to help some one out
It is still helping people out no matter which place a person is "donating" to. Maybe you shouldn't think so badly of it. One day you may need one of those medications and if you do then you might just change your mind about what I do not helping people, because it helps lots of people EVERYDAY.
Selling the medications for thousands of dollars so normal people cant afford them, yea thats helping alot of people out. If you want to help people out donate at the red cross.
If you are sick enough to need one of those medications more than likely you have insurance or are on a health plan. Most people do not pay for this. Again, like I said before either place you donate to is helping. Maybe, you should have more of an open mind. If you want to help people out try telling you speech to someone who is not already donating.
Employees dont change their gloves sometimes for their whole shift, changing gloves slow's processing time, we are told only to change gloves when you can see blood on your gloves, even though saliva, and plasma are pretty much invisible. Almost everything we use is contaminated, thermometers counter tops, beds, machines etc. We had a girl get fired basically because she would change her gloves after every donor, she would slow processing. BUT HEY GO MAKE THAT 20 DOLLARS IT WORTH IT
WOW!! You sound like you hated your job. The glove standards are set by the FDA not by the centers. Yes if you change your gloves all the time you will slow down times and cost the company money but the FDA does not make you change your gloves unless you have blood on them or they are torn. Just a question, why would their be saliva on your gloves? I do not get my gloves anywhere near my face or hair! That's just gross. Our plasma center has HIGH standards and when you walk in ...
it smells clean and you can tell me use dispatch, sporiciden and bleach! We clean everything..top to bottom every night and in between. I don't know who you were working for...but sounds kinda shady to me!
I use to work at a Plasma Center, I would never donate EVER. Besides the effects of taking your plasma and causing cancer, you are at high risk of getting infected. Whats the mail goal of the center? Get "donors" aka cattle in and out as fast as possible. The faster processing time the better for the center, if we got slower processing times we would get chewed out.
POP states that there is a 30 second 1 inch srub, and concentric circles to a 3 inch total diameter. 30 additional seconds "dry time" as a MINIMUM, one thing about POP is the vague language. Technically. But she should palpate b4 scrub & only after the needle is in, not after scrub. She did contaminate the site. Booooo...Plus, her gloves should be over her cuff. And POP I believe states that tape should be pulled once VP complete.
I work as an MSA. There are plenty of violations of currently accepted medical standards. Why should the scrub be any different. I've seen multiple occasions of sterility comprimise. I've even had the manager override my PR on a donor who had unexplained track marks. A bad scrub doesn't surprise me.
I actually work as a Phleb. And the FDA requires a 1 inch scrub for 30 seconds then taken out to a 3 inch scrub. That 3 inch scrub has to sit and dry for at least 30 seconds but no more than 1 minute. And you are definately NOT allowed to touch inside the circle after the scrub...which she did, so yes, that was an improper technique.
i got that same shirt...

ZLB fucked my arm up. They gave me a hematoma.

Which ZLB is that? It looks like the one I go to in Lansing.
MrsBuxton326 2 years ago
It is the one on Cedar St. They recently changed the name to CSL Plasma Services.
