@3on3off yes the younger will...when i was little, my parents and aunties made me go house to house serenading to other family members.I see my little cousins getting the same treatment. Deja vu. Trini ppl only like one thing more than Christmas....Carnival
Iam 100% trini and agree there is no other christmas like a Trini christmas. I do agree there is some comments that have me wondering.."Ignorant" just one word to the ones who never spent time or was ever in Trinidad. We are a people we love to celebrate. Proud of our diverse race and culture as our motto state "together we aspire together we achieve". Thanks for taking me back Wongkee83 keep the spirits alive! Ayee! ayee oe love to all!
Parang is a type of music with Caribbean and Latin American cultural influences. The word is derived from the Spanish word parranda, meaning 'merry-making' or 'a group of serenaders'. Parang is a popular folk music of Trinidad and Tobago, it is part of the Island's Hispanic heritage that originated from over 400 years ago during Spanish rule via Venezuela.

I'm a Canadian just come back from living 3 years in Trinidad. I really missed snow for xmas when I was there, but I loved the Parang, and how everyone was so festive with it! Now I'm back in Canada, got the snow (don't know why I missed it!) and now I miss all the Parang festivities. Thanks for putting this on! LOVE IT!

I guess you must be closed-minded, I have family from all islands. You can only celebrate Christmas the way YOU know it... I know A Trini Christmas! its what i celebrate, and i am very happy and proud to do so. I hope you too can celebrate it in any which way You please. As for me...it's Trini! Merry Christmas!
