Marshall, I bought the AZ2 off of you after a series of messages back & forth; my wife bought me the LX2 for my b-day about one week after I received your package. I've used both lights both while backpacking and on duty and I gotta say, the LX2 is by far my favorite light. That low 15 Lumen beam for 30hrs makes a great trail/general purpose light. Definitely find myself reaching for it over the AZ2 about 98% of the time.
surefires are super expensive. and their lumen output does not compare with many other flashlight makers. why do people buy them. same reason people buy 500 dollar jeans. label whores.
@PavlovSandor Well, bud. It's pretty obvious that you've never actually used one. SureFires come with a lifetime warranty--which is one of the reasons they are more expensive. Also, their brightness level is BRIGHTER than most other flashlight makers. My LX2 Lumamax (on low - 15 lumens) is brighter than my Fenix LD20 on high (105 Lumens).
Don't knock something until you've tried. And if you had used one, you'd understand why people buy them.
