I use to be able to do that stuff in high school but damn is my back paying for it now. Power to all the power lifters out there and I hope your back and joints never hurt as bad as mine.
I remember when he was doing the world's strongest man competition in China and he would go crazy after every event. The Chinese crowd would go crazy for him, oh man, what a character, you will be missed.
Cool, a first year med student who had a 1 hour lecture on osteoarthritis and mis-interpreted the data he was given. The real problem is few studies take into account whether or not training was performed in a safe manner with proper form. Instead they rely on surveys of people who claim to exercise and probably have done so poorly.
Of course steroid abuse is wrong, anyone who condones using steroids for athletic purposes is an idiot.
I always look to this vid for inspiration when I am about to do some high rep squats. You can tell by his face and body language that he is pretty much spent at rep 10. But his mind pushes him another 10 reps! Truly a great effort here.
right thats my leg workout done jus watching that

Exercise increases ur risk rather than decrease ur risk for the development of osteoarthritis as well as ligament tears and tendon tears.
Could be due to the fact of bones rubbing on each other more forcefully and more often :S
Just saying.
pnx031 3 years ago
Yep, listen to this guy, the best way to have a healthy body is to sit idle and do zero physical movement your entire life! What a joke.

Maybe just maybe I might know what I am talking about... Maybe I am studying medicine and I don't know base what I am saying in medical facts...
If like everyone else, think that you know better please do as you like it really doesn't affect me...
Plus steroid abuse gives you peanut balls... ;D

actually exercise does increase your risk of osteoarthritis BUT the other health benefits of getting in shape far outweigh this.
nothing in this life can be done without risk. there are no unalloyed benefits---only trade offs. keep this in mind, and choose wisely.
Jesse M RIP.
