  • their best song, to me

  • I would of loved to see S & B with Love and Rockets and the Cure... Oh time machine !!!

  • misterious and seductive

  • @Fwollaali

and dangerous, ans usually a few things

  • just getting into the banshees great music

  • Tinderbox sent Sousie and the Banchees into the stratesphere. Virtually every song is a standout--Cities in Dust, 92 Degrees, Lands Ends. 2011 and it still sends shivers up my spine. Post Punk Rules!!!

  • Juju was their darkest album but Tinderbox was their edgiest.

  • amazing song

  • She was great before 88.

  • avantar

  • better than pink floyd

  • @makokan2000 thats not hard to achieve when we cut away the hype of pompous pink floyd

  • Tinderbox has always stood out for me. LIke if you wanted to still listen to Siouxsie but take a different route for a change, Tinderbox was the album to do it.

  • Remember buying Tinderbox in 1986 on tape..my favourite Siouxsie Album...Still is

  • Even though The Banshees have made more than their share of great albums (Hyena, A Kiss in the Dreamhouse, Join Hands, The Scream, Kaleidoscope, et al.), I am of the opinion that Tinderbox is truly...their finest hour.

  • Why on earth did they get rid of John Valentine Carruthers? So under-rated! The songs on Tinderbox were some of the most complex and beautifully atmospheric songs they'd ever written. I know Siouxsie's favourite was McGeoch - and his work is great - but personally I preferred the subtleness of Carruthers' playing. I mean, Cities in Dust, Candyman, The Sweetest Chill, Canons and this haunting song. What were they thinking?

  • @aerialkate Unfortunately, Siouxsie, Severin and Budgie seemed to find a new lease of life by sacking guitarists. After JVC came Jon Klein and a rich vein of songs such as Peek A Boo, The Killing Jar, Shadowtime, etc. Maybe they needed the change to survive so long.

  • Dangerously addicting.

  • FUCK>>>>>>>>>SHE IS HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • pufff listening to this while smoking marihana makes me, wohah, just intellable

  • does anyone know what this song is about? its so awesome. been searching online but cant find anything about it......

  • @jramos83084

if you listen to every song on the album, each one has the theme of a great catastrophe happening .....child killer, epidemic, nuclear war, global warming, nuclear war..........lands ends seems to deal with, at least for me, what the title implies..since its the last song on the album...the apocalypse...

  • @jramos83084 Land's End is a region in Southern England. The song is basically about two lover's suicide by jumping off the cliffs of Dover.

  • I am a great fan and seen her in concert 6 times.

This music was so a head of its time.

  • Great great great tune !

  • Tres Manifique! Siouxsie is timeless. This sounds even better today then it did back in 1985. The Banshees were always way before their time!

    Priceless!

Thanks for posting this video it brought back good memories for me!

  • moths touched by flame repeat their fatal game. God how I have always loved this song.

  • I remember learning the drumming to this and thinking I was well cool!

  • yeah, sonically amazing. and song-wise just amazing.

    this album is timeless.

John Valentine Carruthers' performance is sooo 'wish i'd thought of that!'

    what a brilliant guitarist.

    why'd they fire him?

  • One of the best albums ever made, and one of the best songs on the album. If you like deep and haunting...this is it!!

  • One of their best songs

  • It just takes me back big time.. love it

  • @Adrilondon Take me back I'm so alone, take me back ,I'm going home

  • GREAT PICTURE!!

  • @kannonblack07 Yes, you're right!

Siouxsierocks2, where did you find them?

  • Comment removed

  • TINDERBOX is an ABSOLUTELY STUNNING album!....truly breathtaking in it's scope and brilliance.

23 years later is still holds up SO well!

  • Totally agree. I thought it was special at the time and now, on re-listening, I'm even more struck by how haunting and beautiful this album is. A masterpiece.

  • @Anglovox : Agree !!!
