This hack is great because it gives you a new gimmick each level. Reminds me a lot of EVW, only a bit more polished... It also has lead to a lot better commentary on raocow's part then EVW did.

That sound-test song you were humming, I KNOW I've heard it somewhere before, but I can't put my finger on it... I think it was even used like an intro (or at least a standalone little musical phrase) in its original context too... Hope I can remember cuz now that's gonna drive me nuts, lol.

Still impressed by how this romhack remains fresh and innovative. Big thumbs up! And as always, love the side of raocow that comes with it. ^_^

That is accually pretty easy to make. All you have to do is a few basic 16x16 editing thingies (Flipping blocks around and making objects invisible).

Honestly Raocow, use savestates.

The reason people like savestateless LPs is to see the person be awesome at the game.

You on the other hand, just constantly redo things off camera. Meaning the end product is the same to us, the only difference is you make yourself suffer more to produce it.

Also, because of all your cutting, it constantly restarts and readapts your commentary.

Not that you have a logical linear reason of thought in your commentary, which is why we love you.

The reason people like savestateless,may also be that they like to keep the integrity of the game.

By suffering more, he shows us to what degree you have to go to be able to clear the level. It's one thing if the author intended the use of savestates,if not,then your doing the author a great misfortune by breaking the game.

But then again,I'd like to think that we are here for the game,otherwise Sam might just close up the shop and go rambling on a podcast,if that's the essence of his work.

The issue is that when Raocow overuses savestates he tends to disengage from the game. I don't enjoy it when he is simply pressing right and not paying attention to the game while he rambles about banana George monkey pies, and reloading every time he casually walks into a Thwomp.

I don't see why people want him to not use save states, it's just wasting his time and he usually fast forwards to the part he was at for our convenience. In my opinion use save states more but maybe just be less liberal with the rewinds.

Nice tags. That was a nice level design, although I've seen it done before. The tricky part is the objects are on the bottom and the sprites are on the top, I think that's the hardest thing to adjust to

3:15 , you can see the enemies going through the water pit because they've fallen off the stage a small "entering water" effect can be seen as they go in and also they fall slowly with more momentum or something, so yeah that was supposed to be a pretty big hint for the secret exit or stuff.

in reality this would not be all that hard to do. Just have a map16 page willed with the #25 square things doing different thigns to you. But actually putting it all together would probably get confusing.
