do you need the crimson something armor or the other armor that gives you a discount at shops for it to work?

@farmermike Nope, I didn't pre-order the game so I chose the 'Roughneck' armour. It doesn't matter what armour you have.

will this only work with some items because I tried it with the emp grenade and I lost $3 each time.
