The anime is very misleading in some points, and therefore your argument is pretty much eliminated if you've only seen the anime. The sound novels have the answers (not to mention just how much more detailed they are, even if the art is pretty ugly) while the anime only scratches the surface.

She knows how to fight, she knows how to think rationally, she knows how to stay calm, she knows the things she have to do, and she learned not to give up.
