  • I've always admired his guitar playing. Never heard him speak before though... What happened to his voice?!

  • @telecasterman18 I believe he was in some sort of accident and damaged his vocal chords, which is why is voice changes pitch randomly.

  • The way he said "configuration" hahahah priceless.

  • cool to hear from the guitarist, instead of the roadie.

  • "A swollen pickle for moments of total devastation"

  • What is the physical pedalboard it self that hes using, i want one like that.

  • Rig kind of sucks compared to Hetfields and BJ Armstrongs.

  • @ottawadrummer tim can also do alot more with it than both of those guys combined. Its simple yet he can make more different sounds than any guitar player alive with the moogerfooger, and the univibe and rotosphere.

  • @mungo6000 Sooo is this guy known for his incredible tone and people model their tone or playing after him? Nahh, he's a good player but James Fn' Hetfield has godly tone and people recognize his signature bite right away. Hetfields rig is extremely technical, whereas BJ Armrstrongs rig is pretty straight forward but it's very custom at the same time. People know the dookie guitar sound right away as well. it's a moded marshall plexi.

  • @mungo6000 And we're talking about rig's and gear here, not playing. There's plenty of 'better' or more skilled guitarists than BJ Armstrong, but he has a tone or sound that works and people know and like.

  • Incredible simple rig from great player! Definitely gonna check out TR3.

  • Whoa, didn't expect that voice!

  • @phriend2spin ahahahhahaah, he was in a car wreck that severed his vocal chords!

  • Tim is the man!!!!

  • @0713mas You got that right what a bad ass he is

  • Incredible guitar player. His playing, tone, effects usage and feel on the Radio City stuff is the best I've ever heard on acoustic. I was totally slayed by those cd's and dvd's. I still watch those all the time. Never checked out TR3...will do that now.

  • "for some reason we weren't getting the right sound" no shit, you had a TSL, those things have always sounded weird to me. I do love a good marshall. i'm actually looking a purchasing a JVM410H + a Mesa recto cab.

  • Everyone knows Tim from DMB, but his TR3 stuff and his solo stuff is phenominal.

  • Agreed, he really could make any box with strings sound good!

  • This just goes to show that it is not the equipment that makes the player. For all practical purposes, Tim is playing off the shelf production guitars. He almost sounds like he does not even really know what he is playing ... A guy like this could sound good on anything.

  • Awesome rig! His voice takes some... getting use to. I'm not putting the dood down! I'm just saying its different. His playing is great though!

  • @poocoop He sings, too. It sounds just like you'd think it would- awesome. :)

  • In my opinion Tim Reynolds is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time. I'm a huge DMB fan and Tim just adds soo much to an already dynamic group. What's more is his "less is more" strategy just by using a simple amp rig with some precise pedal usage. Another thing that helps his tone is that he plays extremely loud! When I saw DMB this past summer, during the soundcheck I could hear the guitar tech test his rig out and it was blaring, without even coming through the front of house!

  • he's pretty modest it's awesome.

  • you wouldnt think a dual rec would fit with DMB's sound.. but he makes it work surprisingly well

  • awesome player, great guy and super cool gear!!

  • Seems like a super cool dude.

  • I never expected that rig from him.
