  • The Edge <3

  • Jimmy is soooo cool the long coat is so dramaatic.

  • you were so lucky to be so close to a legend like Jimmy!! Thanks for sharing.

  • @Dookiebutt47 @KurtCobainof21 no offence, but can both of you just shut the hell up?!

Anyway. The Edge has earned his stripes as a guitarist even though I am NOT a U2 fan, I actually can't stand U2, but it's mainly because I don't like Bono. You don't have to like his music, but you should appreciate the Edge as a guitarist. When you think about it, Jimmy represents the 60s/70s in guitaring, the Edge the 80s and Jack the 90s/2000s. They all take influence from the blues. That's the link.

  • @LillyCandyCane

Haha, another one who hates U2 because of Bono. I got friends like you. They think U2 is shit because "Bono is an asshole". I don't get it. (neither what bonos personality has to do with their music and second why he is an asshole)

  • Comment removed

  • @kekemankek The personality of the frontman has an awful lot to do with how you perceive the music of the band. Which even without Bono's holier-than-thou attitude I don't enjoy. Is that ok with you? It'd be ever so lovely if I could have an opinion without being patronised for not kissing Bono's own-trumpet-blowing hypocrite arse. BTW, I stuck up for the Edge in my last comment despite this. So read my actual comment before you attack me please.

  • I didn't mean to attack or patronize. I just genuinely don't understand the mindset, is all.

  • @kekemankek im soo sorry for the way i acted on comments yesterday i realise i was being unnecessarily horrible to you and i apologise. it was nothing to do with you. but basically i explained it to you anyway :)

  • @LillyCandyCane

Don't worry mate, I can see how my comment could have been taken the wrong way. All good :)

  • @kekemankek cool :) still though I guess I was in a bad mood and looking for an argument...

  • @LillyCandyCane Thats like saying you dont like Elton John because hes gay! Your not fucking him your listening to his music! So you dont like Bono , like you know him personally anyways you prob heard an interview where he was having a bad day and went " I hate U2" . Music Music Music its all about the music!

  • @stoolet no. I don't like U2 because I think they're overrated, and I don't like Bono seperately because I think he's arrogant. Is it ok by you to have an opinion? I actually don't know why I'm justifying it to you. I just don't appreciate being patronised by you and your presumption. What has Elton John got to do with this? Read what I said properly before you get up on your high horse.

  • @LillyCandyCane What has Elton got to do with this ???? Nothing its called an analogy watch out people the wisdom is running wild in here!!!

  • @stoolet yeah clearly, with the likes of you.

  • le edge suck le balls

  • Fucking jenkle klunker the edge is elevating

  • yeah..and in defence of the edge...he himself is the first one to humbly (emphasis on humble) admit to being lucky to do what he does...he still thinks the band will be "found out" for how much they don't know....he loves and lives his gift!

  • Edge did seem an odd choice for the film. I still think he is a good musician but not really the same type as White or Page.

  • yeah thats what i tell people, jimmy n jacks bands make guitar music, where vocals are just supporting the guitar. But with u2 its vocal music with the guitar merely supporting the vocals. Of course edge composes vocals too so hes great

  • @tacticalcraptic

Agreed. I think it's the result of one of the producers being a U2 fan or something.

I'd rather someone like John Scofield, but i guess Jazz is a four letter word.

  • They are all three brilliant guitarists, period.

This might have just become my alltime favorite rock documentary. A masterpiece!

  • Yeah, we're gonna really pay attention to musical criticism from a fuckin halfwit who posts under the name "dookiebutt" ... what are you, three years old? Fuck off, punk, youre not worthy of licking Edge's asscrack.

  • its funny that you say that cause im sure a couple have

  • Youre a moron. Youre the typical idiotic guitarist wannabe that thinks guitaring is only about riffs n solos. What Edge does is create an atmosphere for the vocal melodies of U2 with his guitar. Its a different approach to guitar playing. Idiot

  • haha yyea im the moron who likes kurt kobain, the biggest faggot bitch to ever hold a guitar besides yourself.stop trying to sound like you know what ur talking about, i merealy gave an opinion, its u jack offs who have nothing better to do but to comment on it.

  • lol, you are a dookie butt after all, more like a dookie cock. Nirvana were vocal music you fucking moron. You know fuckall about music

  • hah hey man dookie cock thats funny. stop with the vocal/guitar music debate. nooone cares that you sing in the choir at you Borat Baptist church and you dress like the jonas brothers and like to rant on the internent about the first cd your older brother gave u wen he went to prison

  • lol, how uninsulting.

Your mom warned me about your stupid jokes at the orgy. I think she was talking to me, I wasnt the only one fucking her. And she had her mouth full so it was hard to tell

  • ha mom jokes, never get old down in the 8th grade do they faggot! haha

  • yeah i shoudlve tried faggot jokes instead lol, hypocrite

  • What a fucking dooschbag. WTF do u know about rock. Asshole.

  • Replace the Edge with Eddie Van Halen? Eddie has drank himself retarded, and I'm sure he's proud of his Retard Army standing up for him on Youtube. I know I shouldn't be spouting off to a Retard Sargeant like you DookieButt, but I just can't help it. God you are a fucking idiot man, read your shit before you post it asshole. You can't say shit like "The Edge Sucks" - he's sold millions of records. So that means you are retarded, or do the rest of us "just not get it" like you do? Fag

  • i personally think that the edge could have been replaced by another guitarist. he looked quite mediocre next to jimmy and jack... not hating just throwing my thought out there. i enjoyed the movie nonetheless

  • BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

    What a 'tard troll!

    Yer funny!

    Shaddup.

  • I don't want to come across sounding like I think they should have used Eddie instead. That would have been awkward. I don't have a problem with The Edge, he just didn't fit in the scheme of things and ended up coming off as a bit of a flake. Cobain was the blues link between Page and White, so I'm not sure know who they should have used instead. The Edge worked, fuck it. It doesn't matter, it was still a good film. Sing on brother, play on drummer.

  • (con'd) i mean, we're still hearing NEW, Fresh tunes from them, 30 years after their inception. that says a lot. No my Friend, I'm not sitting here petitioning for U2 particulary, and they are certainly NOT, my favorite band by any means, as a matter of fact, I WOULD rather listen to SO MANY OTHER great Van Halen Tunes, than Wholly anything by U2, but 1984? Lol! I don't know. let's call this. i think i've gone on waaaayyyy to long here. I respect your point, and i've made mine. cheers!

  • @drumdude46 what "NEW, Fresh tunes" has U2 made in the how however long? The only reason anyone even remembers them beyond 'Still Haven't Found' and 'Angel of Harlem' is because Bono has been a high profile activist. Both bands have been over the hill since the 80's. This debate is silly, it seems both of use would take Zeppelin or White Stripes over U2 or Van Halen any day. But I will say this, at least Van Halen rocked a little. U2 is soft rock, or as Nirvana put it: "moderate rock".

  • wow you are a fucking moron!!!! do you really think new years day is soft rock? or sunday bloody sunday, or try wire. they are the biggest band in the world you idiot. and yes they are still putting out new music.

  • lol @ "moderate rock"

lukewarm...spew you out of my mouth...etc etc

  • (con'd) U2 on the other hand, are still here. all original members. Van Halen unfortunately, is now a joke, after everything they put themselves thru ( Wolfgang on bass? are you kidding me. Gary Cherone, Hagar, etc, etc.. all the embarassing, Lame changes the band has undergone, and not to mention having to endure one of their shows. shit, I'm an Old Van Halen Fan bro. loved "Most" of their stuff. but now? it's sad. I'd rather see U2, ANY DAY, over Van Heflin. they are finished.

  • To be quite honest, I don't really care much for either band. They've both been lackluster for the last 20 or so years. Someone recently replied to a comment I posted like 7 months ago, so I replied back - that's why it appears "strange". Have you seen this documentary yet though? The Edge claimed punk rock on several occasions and came off as a complete dufus the entire time. Plus, Page & White seemed to bond, and the Edge ended up being the third wheel. It was a bit embarrassing to watch.

  • well, Van Halen hasn't officially "Been" a band (all of them, Roth and/or Anthony included) since about 1985 or so) what i meant about U2, is not so much that they've remained vital or "important" over the last 20 years ( which, in fact, they HAVE) but was just weighing in on your comment about the song, "1984" which i have NO love for. and most other tunes from that record. no a good period right there for them. u2 however, has continuted to generate HUGE hits, all these years.

  • jack white = Malcolm McDowell in Clockwork Orange.

  • funny , ..lol i can see that !!

  • The whole point of the thing is the contrast, they've got enough footage to show that the edge can play and not just be this melodious delay master, but that's 'his' sound and that's what page and white are there for.

Search Bullet the blue sky Boston.

  • pagey still looks the rockstar, hope i am thta cool when iam old. eerrrrr older

  • They're all great, so can we all stop arguing and enjoy the music?

  • those camera flashes must be very irritating

  • undoubtedly, they handle it well

  • well the oldest guitarist i can think of is fernando sor. or am i an arse fool?

  • look up the span of guitars bro dude chill sesh bam

  • Relax dude...

  • We would all be saved of your useless comments if internet wasn't invented.

  • Yo yo yo seriously guy's ya'lls gotta go back to tha originals...now who the hell invented the lute or the lyre? Give him props yo cuz it's not gonna get loud, but it's gonna be EDUCATIONAL YO! But seriously yall - we gotta interview the first person to wind a string tight and pluck it. That dude was the man yo!!!

  • It might get loud but certainly not O-R-I-G-I-N-A-L .

  • Nothing's new under the sun kiddo.

Just because something isn't "original" doesn't mean it isn't genuine. Gandhi wasn't the original pacifist, MLK wasn't the first civil rights activist, Jimmy wasn't he first to play rock-blues guitar, so what?

This "Originality" and individualism is overrated.

  • thumbs down on general puropuses

  • dead?

  • What? No Jeff Beck? JB is the best of all of em

    in a sack.

  • He said why the fuck am i even on the same stage as these 2 guitar legends

  • The edge is sure overrated...

  • Edge is not overrated at all he is just different and does not confirm to the usual guitar ego bollocks. He is unique ,inventive is is very gifted all round.

  • haha his stuff is not difficult to play, thats why he is over-rated and what if he is conforming to non conformity? then he just sucks ass..........

  • Lot's of folks on youtube are playing EVH licks, does that make overrated too? As easy as a lick is to play, all guitarist deserves the respect for creating a sound we deem worthy of mimicking in the privacy of our homes. :)

  • i dont think you understand what unique and inventive is and as for that dopey conforming to non-conformity remark

jimmy page isn't that hard to play. either .you get teenages who can play stairway to heaven perfectly it is blue based rock music tho i like it. but i bet you could NEVER come up with sounds that edge produces...Never and thats the trouble with metal heads .what they don't understand guitar wise they mock

  • The Edge is modest and down to earth. Where Page comes of a long winded school teacher which I think started to get under Edge's skin. Just my opinion.

  • @ascent7 no, he is not.

  • What did Jack say right at the end to make everyone crack up? I'd really like to know...

  • This movie should be called "Jimmy gives guitar lessons to a couple of chumps".

  • lmao I almost spit my soda at the screen when I read this

  • Well, it sounds like we are on the same page then.

  • I no edge and white are not on jimmy;s level

  • youre a fucking retard, jimmy thinks white is brilliant. yeah the edge may be the most over-rated guitarist in the world, but jack? no way.

  • Comment removed

  • You and Jimmy wouldn't go bad together either, fanboy.

  • Well, quite frankly Freckles, I'm a little surprised your man got up off of you long enough for you to post that.

  • BURN.

  • ANOTHER BURN.

  • hahahahahahahahaha i agree. but the edge is very innovative. but yes. page is definitely the god-legend-awesome-best-guitarist-ever.

  • Jimmy looks like a classical music conductor

  • nnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • They're guitar players who brought innovation (especially Edge with all the technology stuff) and who can create feelings with what they play. And that's damn rare nowadays. So seriously, guys, these three are fine.

  • Guys... In terms of creativity, these three are clearly among the best... You can't put Van Halen and Steve Vai in the same category. They're awesome as guitar players, like REALLY awesome, the kind of awesome you'd realise when you gather friends to watch Youtube videos altogether; but they would never come any close to write songs like, not to name the most popular ones, When the Levee Breaks, There's no Home for you here or UltraViolet...

  • I'm not a huge Van Halen fan, but 1984 was full of stand out songs. Eddie is no joke. Hot For Teacher is blazing guitar work. The intro is probably my favorite riff ever. I'll take Van Halen (or even, ack, Van Hagar) over U2 any day.

  • what have van halen done since 1984????

  • Who cares? What has U2 ever done that matches 1984?

  • you can't debate with a van halen fan....u2 have changed the face of stadium rock..are van halen still singing about vibrators

  • @lusidghost uh i'd like everyone to listen to what i'm about to say to this guy: "lusidghost" you can't be serious. your actually comparing a 1984 album by Van Halen ( who i DO like) but an album in my opinion that was Fairly weak, Music Wise, compared to most the rest of their body of work ( come on, "Jump? Top Jimmy? garbage dude) and your asking the question: What has U2 Done that is THAT GOOD? !!!!! LOL!!!! Oh my Fucking god. your an Idiot. U2 has produced such better stuff

  • Listen to the intro riff on 'Hot for Teacher'. He's not playing through a million effects processors, he's just straight ripping it like a complete badass. and aside from you not liking 1984, what exactly is your argument?

  • @lusidghost Well, No "Argument" friend, but......based on your "strange" comment, comparing what you said : "1984 better than any U2 to date" ???? ( were you literally speaking of the Actual Van Halen Record of the same title? I assumed so.) yes, i'm my opinion ( and.......mine only) that '84 record was no so great. so you understand, I'm perplexed why you would draw any parallel between the two ( U2/Halen) as i said, i DO like Van Halen. but they haven't really lasted, have they?

  • Hear Mysterious Ways from U2 kids and stop the stupid anti-edge comments

  • You say that The Edge doesn't fit the Jimmy and Jack?

Go and listen to Boy and War

  • Everyone is posting comments that edge sucks but they are just silly kids that don't understand music at all!

  • I think Alex Lifeson would have been a great choice to round out the three of them. How many popular guitarists has he influenced? Hundreds... incuding Jack White.

  • Jimmy Page ,JimiHendrix,EddieVanHalen, would have been ideal, after all its called IT MIGHT GET LOUD,

  • Not music wise--guitar-slinger wise, sure. I LOVE Steve Vai, but he's never written a song as classic as Where The Streets Have No Name.

  • I would like all of those guys who say that with all that Edge's gear they would play just like him, getting that gear and setting up the effects. Haha.

Next, I'd like to see them keeping the tempo in, for example, 'BAD'. I would really like to see that....

And I would really enjoy seeing them come up with their own effects setup, as good as Where The Streets Have No Name or Original Of The Species...

You guys are just plain dumb. There is no other guitarist like The Edge.

  • What good are you if you need large amounts of technology to make a worthy song. It's not that he's bad, it is just that he is kind of uninteresting. He doesn't really mix it up very much, and I don't think he has the ability to take any guitar, amp, or whatever and make it sound good. Page and White are geniuses with anything.

  • I can't believe people continue to diss 'The Edge'. Is he not 'rock' enough? I challenge any dreamer here to write a rock song better than he. There is not one other person that could recreate his sound even with all his pedals. And anybody that tries to is recreating HIS sound. Not their own. He is an innovator. He isn't a sheep. Just like a great singer, drummer, they bring something new to the table.

  • All three of these guys are in great bands and have written amazing songs... But to call any of these guys the greatest guitar players alive or of all time makes you look foolish for not having seen Chet Atkins with a guitar in his hands. And of all time, NO WAY, I'm sure all three would say Robert Johnson was the king.

  • The greatest ever is surely heavily opinionated. Many would say Jimmy Page others Hendrix and fair enough other may well say Robert Johnson. Again Chet Atkins being the best guitarist alive is your opinion and makes you look foolish telling people they are wrong to be entitled to a differing view. I myself think that Jimmy Page is better the Chet though i don't say you're an idiot for thinking differantly

  • One can't talk about greatest ever guitarist without giving a shout out to Jeff Beck, but you're right, everyone is entitled to an opinion. But also, Atkins and Page are just in different leagues. Atkins may be the greatest for the style of music he played, but it's a little apples and oranges. And not to get nit picky here but Chet Atkins has not been with us since 2001.

  • But the G3 musicians have no taste for sound... they just dont get it

  • pretentious? jack white is jack white...jimmy page is jimmy page...and that other guy is "the Edge" whatever. 2 icons and a lucky guy. and john smohn, jack white is the HEART of this movie as it is his desire to learn, and take musicianship and story telling (isnt that fucking great cause that is what music SHOULD BE) from the roots to the knows no bounds level! its why he does so many projects with other musicians. ive never really heard anyone come out like that - which is y JACK RULES

  • I don´t get why you´ve got 1 thumb down..

    You are totally right!

    Jimi Page is a inovator.

    and Jack is a reinventor..

    and..

The Edge!? Yes he made his own sound.. but if you would give me all the junk that he uses i could copy his sound..

I can't play like Jimi Page. I mean i can play some of his riffs but it will sound like me.. Not like him... (same story with Jack)

    But.. The Edge?!

sorry.. but i will never accept him as an icon..

John Frusciante would be a better choice..

  • Jack White is the best current guitarist, and one of the greatest ever.

  • i wish you could hear the answers from the artists over the screams of the meatheads in the audience -- personally, tho i dig jack white,i think for the younger generation represenitive, john fruciante would've been a much better choice, way more innovative, smarter about music and less pretencious...still,sounds like a neat concept for a movie geared toward us guitar-heads -- glad to see jimmy happy(and standing)

  • totally agree with John musically, but have you seen him in interviews? dude is permafried, i'm glad they picked white only because he can speak properly lol. but frusciante definitely has a more innovative and influential sound. white is good, but his guitar style comes from obvious places, one being led zeppelin.

  • john's influences are blatantly obvious also. hendrix anyone? i think the main reason they included jack white is have that 90s garage rock element in the doco. but yeh john is the better guitarist but jack is the better artist/musician. jack white is almost single handedly keeping rock n roll alive.

  • Yeah Rock n' Roll is in a coma and Jack is like a breathing machine for her..

    Hope she'ill awake soon..

(it would be nice to have a rockin' 10ies)

  • Well the current selection is no better then what was popular in 1987 so I'm sure we're not to far off.

  • John really wears his influences on his sleeve, but in my opinion- just my opinion- I think John's a better artist/musician. His stuff in RHCP may not be as creative and as innovative as Jack's stuff, but have you heard his solo albums? I've never heard anything like them. Nothing like you would expect from the chili's guitarist, and in my opinion, he's better than white in most areas musically.

But I'm a little biased, and I don't listen to much of White's work, I just never got him.

  • I agree, John would have been a better choice, but Jack White has a much more mysterious and quirky personality. He would be much more entertaining to watch in a movie. Plus, he has more acting experience, did you see him in Walk Hard?

  • lol ..Edge is 'generic' because everyone went and copped his licks and tricks for the past 30 years?!?

    sheeeyit

  • I think its funny how all the metal heads are like toni iommi!!! randy rhodes!!!! what a joke.... I think the three of them offer so many different stylistic differences. All three of them are incredible players. The film would have been retarded if it was all the shredders. Also all of the metal guitar players / shredders have no ear for tone usually. Also if you wanna see that crap (aka masturbation) go watch the G5 videos. All in all this is definitely the best mix of players.

  • Uhh, that's G3. And Joe Satriani and Randy Rhoads (since you mentioned G3, and Randy) are astounding musicians, not just guitar players.

  • It doesnt matter these guys represent generations of different guitar styles.

    Page - 70s

    Edge - 80s

White - 90s (I can think of better guitarists for that era)

  • i think jack is more a guitarist from '00

  • i think you shouldn't complain! only if you were better than jack but then you have to be really really good!

  • Eh I'm not complaining, I just dont like him..

  • 90's check out nick mcabe from VERVE..no-ne has ever played like he does and create sounds like him.. areal genius which all the other guitarists are too.

  • Jimmy Page, Randy Rhoads(hes dead tho) and tony iommi . That would be the best

  • yes could,nt agree more if u wanted more classic rock angus young or richieblackmore are available or if you wanted someone like randy rhodes then van halen perhaps

  • I think this line up was better.

  • they are all old though, the point in this movie is to get the classic influence of Jimmy Page, The 80's comeback vibe from the Edge and the modern ideas from Jack White. all guitarist's from different eras.

  • Maybe you haven't heard him with a slide....

  • So has anyone seen this yet? Is it even going to come out? What a waste for it to just be sitting there...I really want to see it, hopefully it gets distributed or something...

  • Sony just bought the rights for distribution .

The film has also been shown at the Sundance Film Festival recently and is also being shown in Germany at this very moment at another film festival.

In time this will be made available for purchase and will most likely see some TV appearances.

    CheerZ

  • Thanks for that! So this has the potential to hit the smaller, edgier theaters? Or are the possibilities greater for it going straight to video?

Seriously, Jimmy Page in a movie about the electric guitar? This should be everywhere, lol.

  • with regards to Jack White, everyones going on about "ohh such and such a guy is a better guitarist"

i dont think its necessarily about absolute skill. Jack has brought back to basics heavy handed blues back to the mainstream, and slide guitars. Whenever theres a white stripes song in the UK charts, there is nothing at all like it from 1-999..

Im a hardcore zep fan, but i respect jack white massively. Like page too, hes a real gent.

  • Jack has a brown stripe in his skivy draws.

  • Bad quality, but exellent movie! Wonder if there is the full movie on Youtube.

Also it seems kind of weird to me (in a way) these three guitarists are all pretty good and in a way (or soon) legendary, but Jack White, The Edge and Jimmy Page don't seem to fit togheter. Maybe it's only a thing of different generations...

  • Jimmy Page and Jack White fit together, but The Edge is just generic and doesn't fit in.

  • I'm guessing you probably don't play the guitar

  • A strat. Jimmy Page was revolutionary with the Yardbirds and Led Zeppelin using these incredible licks for nearly every song. Jack White is very talented and understands blues and classic rock and has renewed it in todays world. The Edge uses semi-simple stuff and adds tons of effects to make music, but he is still sort of noteworthy for this movie.

  • Edge is NOT generic..how dya come to that conclusion?? jimmy page and white are blues based guitarists .Edge comes from a completely different universe.tho for all the edge bashers outhere BB KING said the edge was one of the best rythym playes he had ever played with in 40 years.

  • jimmy "HAMMER OF THE GODS"

  • nice

  • This is awesome! Two of my favorite bands of all time. I love Led Zeppelin they were amazing and I beleive the white stripes is one of the only modern band that still plays true Rock n' Roll. I think they both Represent their generation perfectly, but I don't really get why the edge is on here. I like U2 but isn't their a better guitarist to represent the 80s? Slash maby? well anyways could anyone tell me were I could get this movie? I couldn't find it at Wal-Mart, and I would love to see it....

  • lol. walmart.

it's not on DVD anywhere, try going to a film festival.

  • oh man. you can tell immediately when people have no idea what it means to play guitar. jack white is the most technically gifted rock guitarist of the modern age, save john frusciante. you've got those two, then maybe derek trucks, then it all goes downhill. all three of these guys are legends in different ways, and i'm excited for this film. and stop hating on jack!

  • what about Matt Bellamy?

  • hmmm. bellamy can play for sure. maybe i should rephrase. there are a LOT of great musicians out there. if you arent seeing them, then you have your head stuck in the mainstream. but the difference is that there was once a time where the great musicians WERE the mainstream. and i just dont think muse has had nearly the kind of impact the chili peppers or the white stripes have had on this generation. thats why they chose edge instead of satriani. its about more than just skill.

  • word.

  • oh, and sorry, this is capsvibranium. same person :)

  • GOSH EMO?dumb comment...

i think great choice picking led zeppelin, jack white is the one with a shorter career so people may not like him but i actually im so glad he plays great the fusion of blues and all the simplicity and the way he plays is very raw, but i really dont understand why Edge i mean he has a totally different thing going on compared to the other 2 guitarist... and i think they could have picked a better guitarist, but i dont know just he doesnt fit int he picture..

  • Everyone sees that, but I don't see whay it should change. Jack White can't be compared to Jimmy in a way too. It only depends on the way you see the way of the selection of the musicians for the documentary.

Even though, I don't se who could have been at his place, definitly not like Slash or Angus Young... see?

  • jack white is far from emo, he's one of the only guitarists active today that have taken the blues to someplace different, and done a good job. i laugh when people talk about young guitarists like Mayer and they've never heard of White or Shepherd (Mayer's a good player but i don't think he stacks up).

  • the real question is why the edge is in it

  • very true, hes defiantly the most replaceable in this trio

  • yeah he's the "Switch on the delay" guy

  • bullshit just because you don't like him dosent make him 'replacable'

  • read man, READ..i didnt write he's replacable

  • you know little of edges musical output if thats all you know him for.

  • i was not going to offend his musical tallent...in my humble opinion he's brilliant composer, good guitar player but he is not improviser..however he's best guitar player in U2 :) happy New Year

  • jack white plays the blues. and people like it. no one else plays the blues and have people like it now-a-days. simplicity. simplicity. simplicity

  • You are so right! I have thought several times that Jack/WS should do a CD of just blues. Death Letter is one of my favorite WS songs. And of course, Boll Weevil.

  • Jack White is the last active rock icon, I respect and admire him in so many ways.

  • Talk about god-like status! (Well deserved!!!)

  • look at all that black leather...that just scream rock 'n roll right in your face

  • I Love Jimmy Page and The Edge is Awesome. That Jack White is the luckiest guy on earth. First Jammin with the Stones and now this. Kudos Brother!

  • Is this movie out yet? Is there a trailer? I just found out about it yesterday and almost died...A documentary about my favorite thing ever. And it has one of my favorites, Page! I must see this now!

Don't know how they got The Edge in there though. I guess he is underrated, but his playing is the type that blends with music, not really meant to stand out, even if its got tons of effects.

I could think of an amazing bunch of players to feature in this, but I'm still curious and I wanna see!
