  • Being an Indian, I'm happy and Proud to be a Malayalee and I love my God's own country, the best place in India to live.....

  • Actually, i was fond of kerala, just as many are.

But being there was not different. I belong to sahyadris and konkan is our weekend excursion. So i didnt find anything exceptional. Yes, Backwaters are too good.

In coming years, the title of Gods own country should be bestowed upon to "Ladakh"

  • Transparency International ranked Kerala as the least corrupt state in the country. More than 94% of the rural population has access to primary school within 1 km, while 98% of population benefits one school within a distance of 2 km. Kerala has the highest life expectancy in the country. The UNICEF and the WHO designated Kerala the world's first "baby-friendly state". (Source: wikipedia) There is more to this god’s humble abode.

  • Whoa Kerala is like the most beautiful place in the world

  • any idea of the background score.....guess the only videos where there is no response to many who have asked of the music....

  • wHY bOYS oF kERALA oGLES nORTH INDIAN gIRLS

  • @TheGoodIndian For your information,North Indian girls in general go for South Indian guys as they are more glamorous and educated. In India,Kerala guys are so sexy, even the guy who is rated as the hottest Asian is a half Keralite.BTW Why should Keralites go for North Indian girls who don't look as good as Kerala girls?LOL That was funny though

  • Amazing I will be going in September 2011 ..can`t wait !!!!

  • If Kerala were to be a separate country, this country would be in the Top 50 of the Human Development Index(HDI) issued by the UN.

  • Ugly and non-stylish girl's own country

  • @TheGoodIndian Jealous eh?I,m sure the poorest man in kerala can buy you out 5 times over. Its ok dude, give them the credit for the equality and social development they have achieved.

  • There is no other place like Kerala for a Malayali(Keralite). It is truly "God's own country" But, alas!, "Devil's own people". The tourism sector should shield all visitors from the people of the the land. What a shame.

  • @vailixi9

    Why?

  • Kerala is amazing, ill go back there one day

  • Check out the beautiful scenery and landscapes of Earth in true HD...Believe me you'll enjoy it!!!

     /watch?v=ar8oWSEdOn0&feature=channel_video_title

  • Where can i get this background music ..its so lovely !! ( : ..

    Kerala is so awesome !

  • i want to go home,,,,,thanks for uploading mate,,,,

  • For those who are intentionally bashing on Kerala for its flaws just remember that every place on this earth has its positive and negatives. Instead of pointing out the negatives all the time just take time to appreciate the sheer natural beauty presented before you. Doesn't it get tiresome to always be so judgmental and critical... save those comments for a video about politics, infrastructure etc.. In the meantime drink in the beauty. Peace!

  • @yakshan2010, how well-said so elegantly and accurately! To me, Kerala was, is, and will always be God's Own Land. Just to watch those beloved coconut leaves swaying in the breeze melts my stress away! We prefer to take our annual vacations in Kerala over any other place on earth. Long live Keralam!

  • @musicollector1975 thanks:) I like your poetic description of Kerala. Can't wait to go there this summer!

  • I love Kerala! It feels like I go back into ancient times every time I go there, which is a good thing.

  • Yo quiero conocer ahi

  • love this video.very professional.Kerala truly does look amazing.I will visit soon for sur

  • Beware of land brokers. Sasi Nair, ex aircondition mechanic and friend Mohan are the number ones among them. Sasi would give advance for crores worth property and then disappear . Then months after the promised period shown in the agreement to register the property giving the balance, he appears asking for advance money , interest for that and the profit that the owner could have made by selling it to another buyer, files bogus case against the owner, attaches the property incourt, nomorebuyer

  • Let kerala be like this always ..... Bcz keralats dont knew about keralas beauty ..( i think) they always behind developments .. big citys .. big roads .. .. please dont do that to this beautifull land ... kerala will be no more kerala if it become a concreate dusty juncle like some big citys .. Kerala is already a developed state in india . unlike other states every part of kerala is alike .. in some states when we travell apart from citys we can see the condition of of the villages

  • i bet people whu lives in kerala dunno the importance of the place until they move away...

  • @inhousedigi

true........I am outside Kerala and I really miss Kerala..........I just want to go back to Kerala.........It's a really beautiful place that everyone should go and see.

  • @inhousedigi Yeah, only as an American can I see how lush and stunning Kerala really is.

  • Is there a spot on this planet as gorgeous as Kerala? Certainly not, though the beaches could be cleaner to give Hawaii a run for the money. Too bad the government and people simply don't have the will to make God's Own Country worthy of its name. I can only imagine Kerala's enormous potential.

  • @musicollector1975

how true! in fact, it is very typical of India in general not just Kerala. The potential is there, but the will is lacking. If we tap into our resources efficiently, we can be the envy of the world.

  • I Love Kerala, I Love India.....

    ...form North India

  • nt sure y every1 so negative even u.s. is so racist after more then 200 yrs of independence we r far better then any1 in the world.

  • what an awssome visual treat............ and the background score is simply superb.... adds greatly to the feel

  • I LOVE MY KERALA...

  • @basilkerala Boycott please

  • southwest india bitch. one of the worlds most beautiful places. i got to go back someday. thats where my roots are.

  • I never knew that everything about Kerala is superlative and (also didin't know that everything such a goody goody is posted by keralites themselves, too, sorry!) and still a part of 'other states are backward' India! Reality is just the opposite, it is full of communist face but chistian and chuch wearing that communist mask and systematically and covertly driving hindu culture and hindu religion's roots out of the state. This is stark contrast, they demote hindusim but promote white gods!

  • @miks2k First off don't comment if you don't know anything about a state. Hindus, Muslims, Christians, and Jews have been living peacefully with each other for almost two thousand years and some religions longer than that. I don't know where you're from, maybe you're from a place with newly converted Christians, but in Kerala we live like brothers and sisters. I definitely know that in other states they can't co-exist with more than one religion. It's just stupid to go to war over religion.

  • Beautiful!

  • Any clues about the background score ?

  • superb..........

  • For the full article search in google for "Poor but prosperous"

  • 12.Population, too, is under control in Kerala. The fertility rate is just 1.7 births per woman -- lower even than Sweden's or America's.

13.What is perhaps most impressive is that over 90% of Keralites are literate-a figure that puts the state in a league with Singapore n Spain. Children in Kerala are likely to beg for pens, not money. Schools - their classrooms clean, well-maintained, & filled with students in brightly colored uniforms - r found seemingly every few miles throughout the state.

  • @rahulcrjk LOL

  • @boycottkerala Good to know that a Keralite made u LOL :)

  • @rahulcrjk : boycottkerala previously used the username lunatickerala. He had to boycott his channel as police is investigating into the hate mongering content of his channel. :-D In a message he sent me, he said: " i will write my name, contact number address when i make the channel visible again. lemme see if you have a single pubic hair, come and meet me. i dare you pervert ugly nigger madrasi.." Well, I'm awaiting his address still.. Wanted to know whether he is in Kerala or boycotted.. :-D

  • @boycottkerala : :-D

  • The following are excerpts from an article dated 1998 on Kerala

10.Life expectancy in Kerala is 72 years, which is closer to the American average of seventy-six than to the Indian average of sixty-one.

11.The infant-mortality rate in Kerala is among the lowest in the developing world -- roughly half that in China, and lower than that in far richer countries such as Argentina and Bahrain.

  • 8.Capital city Trivandrum ranked No 1 as the upcoming city for IT/ITES by Knight Frank ,UK

9.Two cities in Kerala -Trivandrum and Kochi have been ranked as 'Challengers' by NASSCOM -AT Kearney Study Report 2008

  • 1.Best Large State Award 2008 from CNNIBN.(top rank in healthcare .education .women empowerment & basic infra)

    2.India's most e-literate State

    3.India's most advanced Society

4.India's highest Physical Quality Life Index

5.India's highest life expectancy and lowest infant mortality rates

    6.Top Entrepreneurial Confidence KPMG/TiE study

7.Ranks high in infra & Social Development indices in various independent studies

  • i really miss kerala. i haven't visited kerala in six years. now i want to go there more than hawaii lol.

  • proud to be an indian / proud to be a malayalee ... :D

  • IF you don't know kerala. then you don't know what is world...thz video shows you the real world

  • if you don't know about kerala ; then you don't knw what is world..thz video shows you

  • awesome naadu!

  • amazing video

  • First decent video promoting Kerala that I have seen. Thanks for sharing. Is there a higher quality version available?

  • there is no other place like it.

  • hey i would like to says about the points that you guys arguments , the most important points that i wan to say is every country ... they have their own cultures , attitudes and lifestyles, so everythings that they have the good and worst ,positive and negative, like we see india if wan to become like U.S that is imposible that every1 know that U.S is an advance country in our eyes, because of what ? becoz they will lost their own originals culture ~

  • i miss kerala

  • i mr kerala

  • lol

  • If you compare Kerala with othere states in India, ofcourse Kerala is far ahead. Especially if you go to rural villages in outside kerala you will not have electricity for even 6 hours a day. If you dont beleive, ask anybody from a rural village in Rajasthan, UP, Bihar, AP or Maharashtra. But yes it is not a developed coutnry. It has got lot of lackings if you comapre with a modern developed countries.

    contd...

  • my beautiful kerala.....

  • Being from that part of the world, I agree. The two things we have in plenty is crooked politicians and retarded people. I agree it is a beautiful place, but people have no common-sense. How do I know? Because I was born and brought up in Cochin.

  • Hey dilee, i was also born and brought up in cochin and i am proud of it..I have no idea what you meant by people have no common sense.. I have been to various parts of india and lived in many other states too..I still think keralites are much more polite, sociable and not blinded by religion or caste or anything like that.. Can you please explain what do you meant by no common-sense??

  • i agree with you mostly

  • Hii, Shyam. I honestly appreciate your patriotism. I was not comparing Kerala with the rest of the India. Infact, I was making the case that inspite of our education and cultural heritage, we malayalees do not act up to our real potential. Just look at the people we elect to represent us in Trivandrum. Look how corrupted these guys are. If we kept saying that we are great without acknowledging the facts, we will remain as an educated under developed state in terms of economic development. PEACE

  • Shyam, I live in U.S. People here are not smarter than people in Kerala, but the difference is the political system in place. Here people follow the laws, like they get fined or prison for simple things as littering public places, or doing other dumb things. Implementation is our biggest challenge. We have to update our laws to dealt with 21st century problems, and we have to enforce it. My point is how can all these be done if we kept elect all these dumbass politicians.

  • agree with you 100%. If i do a minor littering in sigapore, i need to pay 500 SD (around 16500 Rs.) as fine. In india, even if someone extrete in front of parliament, nobody is going to question him. It is a pity state we are in

  • i love kerala

but this bleddy politicians r making it madder place to live

we should not call them bleddy

    we should call them

monkey ,donkey ,buffallo ,stupid maveli come back!!!!!!

  • maaaaaaan i love this vdo....wt song is it sm1 plsss say...

  • I really feel sad. now kerala's politiciandog's own country

  • well even though i'm christian, i like hinduism best. My loyalty lies with India first and last, not rome nor saudi arabia. I was a Hindu before i was a Christian, and i agree with hindus jains sikhs a lot more

  • Hinduism is just a plot of the British Anglo Saxons to divide and rule India.Out of their own ignorance or out of stupidity, they named all Indian religions as Hinduism.Yes East India company was the worst thing to have happened for India.

  • nice video.i plan to visit kerala this year

  • The most educated, the most cultured amongst all Indians.

    Proud to be a Mallu.

  • This thinking made malayalis the losers.

No Roads, Bad politics, No industry,

    all workign abroad........

  • Yeah dude. You are absolutely right. And we cant even live in that place and have to live abroad with old memories. But thats good.

  • i agree with shinetour0059, the first step towards progress is admitting the mistakes.

all these fake videos about india are making me sick.

it is true kerala is very beautiful in terms of natural beauty, not man made. man made stuff is generally garbage.

kerala needs to end corruption and start building super highways, skyscrappers, etc without damaging nature...it is possible...solar panels, geothermal energy, hydroenergy...

and ofcourse, maintaining everything with modern technology.

  • they should just make kochi the best developed part... so people just move there and leave the nature alone

I don't want superhighways, just the best public transport, do no cars are on the road

  • @lavakava, take the people out of Kerala and Kerala would be heaven! It has unparalleled natural beauty, but man is messing it up. But isn't that the case everywhere else, too? The land is being raped and pillaged. Bribery, corruption, vehicle accidents resulting in vigilante justice, lack or respect for the common man in government offices, polluting vehicles left to operate with impunity, driver's licenses given to people for a few rupees who thereafter, cause accidents,... Yeah, take man out!

  • so true, i'm a malu... damn communists... get them OUT

  • Still, it (Kerala) is better compared to many other places in India. May be they have a few Super Highways and wide city roads. But in other areas of development, especially the human development indices, like healthcare, primary education, rural development, policing, reach of governemnt in remote areas etc. etc. Kerala perform far far better compared to other states.

But we need to admit we lack a lot and need to do something very urgent to make this state an economically well developed one.

  • B e a u t i f u l.

  • Kerala culture's main icon is Maveli. He was a demon. Enough said.

  • do you even know anything about king mahabali? what a loser..

  • hahah i love onam

  • Yes, the demons in kerala (like Maveli) are better vivilised and cultured than the so called civilised society elsewhere in the country.

Hope you know who was maveli and what kind of a ruler he was.

  • your comments does not deserve a reply. i can definitely understand level of your civilisation. Anyway, as a keralite, i do not want to insult other cultures or other civilisations.

  • coz you have nothing to be proud of eh? I shall not wonder LOL anyway ayyo ammachi big probbbllllum!

  • aren't those things (see my other comments in this regard) enough to be proud of considering the situation of the other parts of the country? Yes, there are lot of shortcomings. but considering the situation of other states, we are much better off. you agree or not. And from the language of your other commnets, i know who is a lunatic and who should be in an asylum.

  • Yes I know that if one is perfect, they would not be born on this realm of birth, swine flu and death. I am also a materially contaminated being. But these mallus like you claim to be 100% literate, socially developed etc but in their actions they exhibit their third rated demoniac qualities. In other words they are fucking hypocrites. Raping and molesting women, ogling at (female) tourists etc.

  • Yes those things happen in kerala also, but much less comapred to other other states. Havent u heard of what a goan minister's son did with a british tourist? didnt u hear an IPS officers son did with a german tourist in Rajasthan? didnt you hear what happened to a senior lady officer at the hands of Orissa advocate general? havent you heard about yesterdays court verdict sentensing a few bodyguards of the nations president for rape?. cotd....

  • So this hapenes in kerala also, but much much less compared to other places. So if you call what happens in kerala is demoniac, what will you call all the above? all goans are demons? all oriyans are demons? all rajasthanis are demons? all bodyguards of president are demons?

  • You check ur records. see publications about Human development indices published by both central government and UN.

have you been to ahmedabad? have you been to New Delhi Railway Station? Have you been to Madhura (UP)? Have you been to Agra? have you been to Kolkotta? you see those cities and then compare with kerala cities. Yes, we lack wide roads, but other than that, our cities are better than those.

    Contd.....

  • Other than cities, have you been to rural villages of tamil Nadu? Please have a look at the villages just on the outskirts of Bangalore, or travel from bardwan to Krishna Nagar (in WB) and look both sides of the roads. Then compare with any remote village in kerala. You will understand the difference. If our trains are bad, it is the central government to blame, not keralites.

If kerala is a lunatic asylum, other states are den of those who cannot even get asylum in a lunatic asylum

  • Hii, Pradeep. If Kerala is such a great place to live, why more than three million malayalees are living and working overseas. Think about it. I saw your statistics, looks pretty in paper, but reality is different. One more thing please, when you compare Kerala don't do it with other Indian states, then it makes us looks good but do not solve our problems though, o.k. Nothing wrong in patronizing Kerala, but be practical too.

  • I agree with you. Kerala lack a lot of things, industries, employment opportunities, good cities, good roads, good educational institutions, a professional culture and lifestyle etc. etc. there are lot more to point out.

I am staying away from kerala too. I have been to more than 12 states in India and around 10 developed countires outside india. I know the ground realities. I was just answering to a lunatic insane guy through my other comments. (i realised he is insane only later)

  • I agree that we are far far far behind compared to living standards of countries like Singapore whre I am at present. I my self feel disgusted about several things when i come to kerala during my vaccations.

Also, when other states are progressing, we are growing downward. Punjab, Tamilnadu, Karnataka etc. all will overtake kerala in a few years in all fields. We are still in a fools paradise and trying to make our living through hartals and strikes.

  • when you say Kerala is the most backward and illiterate state, you should go and tell this to UN and Central government, who has stated officially that Kerala is the no 1 in India in terms of HDI (Human development indices) with its best primary health care system, best primary education system etc. etc. Also, for your kind information, Kerala has moved on from the era of Vivekananda, unlike other parts of india. if he was alive now, he would have rated Kerala the best.

  • In Kerala, you dont see a separate colony for people belong to certain religions. In Kerala, it is never heard a communal riot started following a road accident involving guys from two different religions. In Kerala, you never see a lower caste panchayat leader stopped from hoisting the national flag on Independence Day. Even though there are a lot of panchayat leaders from lower caste. You never hear news about lower caste people being stopped from using public utilities.

  • Vivekanandan called Kerala a lunatic asylum because of the caste division in kerala. But you dont see any more caste based social life in kerala. Caste is only in personal matters and private life of people, like marriages etc., where as in public and social life, nobody speaks about caste.

  • You can see educated people, doctors, engineers, IAS officers, advocates etc. even in the remotest villages in Kerala and that is not a big thing here. You can see police stations, government offices, schools and even colleges even in the remotest villages and they are accessible to poor students from rural areas. Son of a carpenter or a mason or a fisherman becoming a Doctor or a Pilot or an advocate is not news in Kerala. It is a regular happening.

  • In Kerala, you can never hear panchayat ordering a woman to be paraded naked because of suspected sorcery, thanks to a comparatively better policing and educated people. You dont see many family feuds growing into mini civil wars, again thanks to better approachability of police.

  • In Kerala, you never see cows and pigs blocking the city roads, in Kerala you dont see many two wheelers riding on the wrong side of the road (in other states even police men do), in Kerala you dont see many vehicles jumping the traffic signal

  • You can see almost all malayalees wearing their traditional dress for their daily wear and for special occasions, even in a first class compartment of Rajdhani, or traveling in the back seat of a Benz. We feel proud of our tradition. In the temples, you can see poojas and rituals exactly as specified in the Vedas, no where else in India it is followed so strictly now a days

  • You won't see people shitting in open grounds and railway tracks in Kerala. There all the houses have individual bathrooms and other sanitary latrine facilities, however small the house is. Even in the remotest and least developed and most poor villages, this is the case. You cannot see many people spitting around in public buildings in Kerala

  • Dont you think the above facts are proof that Kerala is much more developed, and civilized than many other states in India? I agree we lack good roads, good higher education institutions, big industry etc, etc. but even without all those, we could achieve so many things. If you are from Kerala, fell ashamed of putting such a comment. If you are from outside, feel ashamed of the pathetic state of affairs there. Thanks for reading

  • awsome, kerala rulz

  • nice

  • Beautiful........wonderful......I love it!!!

  • My country... my home.... so beautiful. Let God keep it pristine forever.

  • Really cool, beautiful country :)

  • Are you fed up with the sad state of affairs in Kerala? Are you angry that for the past 60 years two parties have raped and fucked up Kerala? Do you feel cheated and left out?Don't you think you are also an important stakeholder in giving ideas and suggestions for development of Kerala? But nobody cares or listens to you? Are you fed up with selfish politicians fighting against each other?Does your heart cry for change in Kerala?Don't you feel responsible to handover a good future to your kids?

  • ur so right, politicians are ruining not just kerala, our country

  • yeh true, politicians are nightmaire to kerala but

todays kerala is better than other states.its much more developed than other states. Also with 100% literacy rate.but goverment is not making full use of this.we always have to go to other countrys for jobs. But its very very beautiful place to live.

  • I really feel sad in the state of affairs there. all because of politicians. By gods grace, we have a good and beautiful place to live, but these bloody politicians trying to ruin it. thats why some of us, like me, cannot stay there and need to go out to earn a decent living

  • Never must any keralite work in Kerala. We'll oppose companies starting here because its already a small beautiful place.Let the krishikkar live in kerala.Others must go to Banglore or NRI.Now der r daily trains to Bang.Work nd come back or go to Dubai

  • Vinod -I do not think that would be in the best interest of the state..Even though you are right in a way that no one would want a big part of Kerala's greenery to be destroyed for big chemical factory or IT park. But if the state has to be developed it either has to be supported well by Centre or get revenue of itself.

  • Banglore is near.we have many buses and trains going and coming from banglore eveyr day.from cochin alone daily 30buses to banglore

  • @changekerala YOU ARE SPOT ON THE STATE HAS BEING TOTALLY HIJACKED BY COMMUNAL POLITICANS THEY HAVE 1 POINT AGENDA HOW FAST TO DESTROY THE STATE

  • wow....... its so beautiful.... I pray to God that we will leave our state like this for our future to live in...

  • My abode....My heaven.... Cheers !!!

  • ende naadu

  • my state, my pride

  • i want this song!!!

  • kerala - devathinde swandam naad

  • This is where i born......my own country!
